An Yan read it carefully several times before he could believe that it was indeed an official admission letter from the Central Star First College. He then jumped straight out of bed in a flurry of excitement and rushed out of his room.
In the living room, An Mu had already packed her things and was about to leave for work when she saw her son rushing out in his pyjamas and jumping straight into her arms.
“Mom!” An Yan shouted excitedly.
An Mu was taken aback and quickly reached out to catch her son: “Why is Yan Yan so excited? Be careful of falling. “
An Yan steadied himself and hurriedly turned on his light brain, showing the email he had just received to his mother, “Mom, look what I just received!”
An Mu looked up and swept a glance at An Yan’s light brain, then instantly froze.Â
She …… wasn’t blind, was she? She actually saw an acceptance letter from Central Star First College on her son’s optical computer?
An Mu subconsciously let go of An Yan’s shoulders, her hands tightly holding An Yan’s wrist with the light brain. She stared at the contents of the email over and over again but still could not believe her eyes.
An Yan’s mood had gradually calmed down at this point, and he said to his mother happily, “Mum, I got into the Central Star First College!”
An Yan saw his mother instantly fall into tears as soon as he said that. He was taken aback and hurriedly said, “Mum, this is a good thing. Why are you crying?”
An Mu covered her mouth. She clearly wanted to laugh, but it had somehow turned into tears.
She wiped the corners of her eyes and took several deep breaths before she could barely calm herself down, but the trembling in her voice was still hard to hide: “My Yan Yan is so wonderful!”
An Yan smiled so hard that his eyes narrowed. “I didn’t think I would actually get into the Central Star First College.”
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so serious last night, discussing with An Mu which private academy he should choose.
Now that he had calmed down, he even wondered if the email could have been sent to the wrong person. But this was something he didn’t dare say to An Mu, lest she worry along with him just after her excitement.
This was also a surprise to An Mu, and it took her a while to remember that she had to go to work.
After looking at the time and making sure she would be late if she didn’t leave, An Mu struggled a bit and said to An Yan, “Why don’t I take the day off today and stay home with you?”
Although earning money was important, it was obviously more important that her son got into Central Star First College.
An Yan shook his head repeatedly, “No, mom should just go to work. We can celebrate when you come back in the evening.”
An Mu still wanted to insist, but she was directly pushed out by An Yan: “Mom, quickly go to work. I will wait for you at home! “
At An Yan’s insistence, An Mu reluctantly went to work.
While both mother and son were excited and happy about the good news, there was one person whose mood had become even worse.
An Yan had rushed out of his room with a lot of noise, and An Luo, who lived next door to him, could not have been unaware of it. He had not slept well last night, and was in a bad mood for being awoken early.
He came out of the room rubbing his hair. He was about to take the opportunity to scold An Yan when he heard that An Yan had been admitted to the Central Star First College.
At that time, An Luo’s first reaction was that it was absolutely impossible!
But soon, this thought was shattered.  An Yan’s attitude did not look like he was lying. Especially since his aunt was also beside him and she surprisingly believed it too.
So An Yan had actually gotten into the Central Star First College?
But how could that be possible?
That was the pharmacy major of the Central Star First College. How could An Yan have gotten in with his qualifications!Â
He failed the exam when he applied two years ago, so how could An Yan possibly surpass him?
Maybe he was just acting on purpose so as to provoke himself?
But this kind of thing cannot be hidden forever, so what was the point of him doing it?
And he had fooled not only himself, but his aunt too.
For a while, An Luo went back and forth between believing and disbelieving. His whole being was tangled and annoyed at the same time, while the fear deep inside him that he had just suppressed was gradually bubbling up.
If An Yan had really gotten into Central Star First College, then he …… his aunt would definitely throw him out!
An unprecedentedly thick sense of crisis and fear wrapped itself around him. It made him feel so suffocated that even breathing became difficult.
It was at this time that An Yan came in through the door and saw An Luo standing in the corner.
It was obvious that An Luo had heard his conversation with An Mu, otherwise, he would not have put on such a disgustingly fierce face.
An Yan didn’t even doubt that if An Luo was given a knife, he would not hesitate to rush over and kill him at this moment.
But An Yan was not afraid at all. Not only was he not afraid, but he even took a few steps forward and said to An Luo, with a smile on his face, “You just heard that, right? I actually got into the Pharmacy Major at Central Star First College. This is such great news. Shouldn’t you congratulate me? “
An Luo’s crimson eyes stared at An Yan, his voice hoarse, “Impossible!”
“I knew you wouldn’t believe me,” An Yan raised his eyebrows and opened his light brain in a good mood, “Then let me show you my admission letter.”
An Yan deliberately enlarged the display screen in order to let An Luo see it more clearly. Under such circumstances, An Luo couldn’t pretend to be blind even if he wanted to.
He saw those big bright words jump into his eyes one by one, finally forming a sentence that made him incredibly angry. An Yan had been admitted to the Central Star First College!
“I suddenly remembered that the first major you applied for two years ago seemed to be the Pharmacy major at Central First College, right?” An Yan blinked and deliberately went to annoy An Luo, “It seems that you didn’t get into this major at that time, and you didn’t even get into the second major you applied for, right? I really don’t know how you had the face to say you were better at studies than me before.”
An Luo was already trembling with anger. His grim and twisted face made him look like he wanted to straight up fight An Yan to the death.
An Yan was hoping that An Luo would do this, so that he would at least have some substantial evidence, but alas, An Luo still didn’t do it.
An Yan was a little disappointed as he turned off his light brain. It seemed that this An Luo was quite tolerant. He was already so angry, but he could still hold back from doing anything.
Since there was no result for the time being, An Yan did not say anything more and went straight back to his room.
An Yan didn’t forget to stretch out a wisp of spiritual power to the next room just after returning to the room. This was something he had been doing recently in order to detect An Luo’s movements earlier so that he could prepare for them.
But although An Luo often threw tantrums and even cursed him in his room before, he did not do anything else. An Yan wondered if today’s An Luo, spurred on by this admission notice, could bring a surprise to him.
About five minutes after An Yan returned to his room, An Luo also returned to his room and then inevitably threw another tantrum and cursed for a while.
Then he slowly quieted down.
An Yan was somewhat disappointed by this development. He had wanted to get rid of An Luo before the official start of the school year.
What An Yan wanted was not as simple as throwing the other party out. He wants the other party to bear his due legal responsibilities.
The best case scenario was that An Luo could try to kill him again so that he could get a heavy sentence.
That was why An Yan had been trying to provoke An Luo, only to have little success so far.
But even if it was difficult to achieve his goal at the moment, An Yan would never let An Luo go. There was still time. He could always find a chance.
Just when An Yan was ready for a long struggle, An Luo, who had quieted down next door, suddenly turned on his light brain and dialled a number.
“Senior, I would like to ask you a favour.” An Luo went straight to the point.
A man’s voice came over the communication, “What kind of favour?”
“I want senior to help me find a bottle of discarded body potion.” An Luo said as he gritted his teeth.
The other party seemed a little surprised: “What do you need a discarded potion for? That kind of stuff has so many side effects that you can’t even take it. “
“I know, I just want to study it,” An Luo added after a pause, “preferably the kind of discarded potion that has very high side effects, maybe even outright deadly. Is that okay?”
The person on the other end was silent for a moment and said uncertainly, “Are you sure you just want to find it and study it?”
“Of course, otherwise what else does senior think this discarded potion would be useful for?” Although he was in a very bad mood, An Luo forced himself to tone down his voice and even added some laughter to it, “But if it’s not convenient for you, that’s fine. I can ask someone else.”
The person on the other side hesitated again, but eventually agreed, “Alright, when school starts…”
An Luo directly interrupted the other party’s words, “No need to wait until school starts. I’ll come over to your place and pick it up. “
“Why the hurry?” The other party seemed a little surprised.
An Luo was so jealous of An Yan that he didn’t want to wait even a moment longer: “Well, I need it right now.”
“Alright then. I happen to have a few discarded potions over here. Come see  there are any suitable ones.”
The corners of An Luo’s mouth slowly listed a bizarre curve, “I’ll be right over, thank you senior.”
Bro is this guy just out right dumb?
Why is he trying to use the same tactic he already used not that I’m supporting him.
Or is he using on himself and blaming our yanyan
damn.. this An Luo is really… Mother An Mu is truly a good person and isn’t like those stereotypical relatives that are forced to reluctantly take in their late relatives’ children
If only he never tried to sow discord between the mother and son, and killed the original An Yan, he could’ve forged a stronger family connection, but alas human hearts are too fickle.
