TVLMS Chapter 49

The Villain is An Imperial Admiral 3

Caesar didn’t reveal the truth, but returned the tablet and said, “Send him straight to my house when you find him.”

“Yes.”

The soldier left after finishing his report. Gu Xiyu watched the silver-white figure disappear unhurriedly around the corner of the mansion, his tail waving calmly.

This admiral was good looking, but too dangerous. It was an intimidating pressure that came from his bones; he couldn’t predict the extent of his opponent’s abilities and felt like he would get himself killed if he wasn’t careful.

But he was torn.

The Admiral, with his high rank and power, would be in and out of the palace on official business, and even controlled the military power of the empire. Caesar was someone the Great Demon would consider replacing.

So Gu Xiyu could only put off his decision to leave the admiral’s mansion and sneak in while the fruit and vegetable supplier called Mark and the guards were inspecting the food in the car.

He was just coming in to check if Caesar was the Great Demon, then he would leave.

“The people in the Admiral’s mansion are too lax too.” Gu Xiyu said to the system.

His infiltration operation was not something careful or perfect, if the patrols and guards in the mansion were any more meticulous, he would have already been discovered. But he sneaked all the way to the mansion without encountering anyone on his way. He hid high up in the eaves of the mansion and watched the well-dressed servants laughing and talking underneath. No one noticed his presence.

[Is that so?] The system replied slowly.

Gu Xiyu commented, “In this kind of world context, the higher one’s rank, the more careful they should be. A big tree attracts the wind, and they can easily become a key target for the alien race. The heavy protection of Xie Mingan’s spaceship was broken through, there is no guarantee that the main city is safe. Some fish must have slipped through the net like me. It would be dangerous if they were to infiltrate the Admiral’s mansion.”

“Perhaps they are so confident of the perimeter protection that the men inside are able to move around with such ease.”

On the burgundy carpeted corridor below, several girls happened to walk by, one of them still wearing her little everyday dress and clutching a black and white maid’s outfit in her hands.

Gu Xiyu heard her ask curiously, “I thought there would be a lot of guards in the Admiral’s mansion, I didn’t expect it to be so deserted.”

The older curly-haired woman beside her smiled, “Because the Admiral’s mansion is safer than the palace, and it’s enough to have the Admiral alone. It is said that he has a strong sense of alien races, and once something slips in the mansion, even if it is only the size of an ant, he will be able to detect it.”

Gu Xiyu listened and shook his little paw, thinking, ‘He didn’t even notice me coming in.’

The intelligent system seemed to give a very soft laugh before agreeing, [You’re right, his management leaves something to be desired.]

Gu Xiyu moved through the pipes in the roof and tracked Caesar all the way to his bedroom.

Caesar’s bedroom was spacious and luxurious, the bed alone was big enough to accommodate four or five adults. In the corner was a shelf the size of an ordinary wardrobe, on which were not books, but pieces of things in transparent shells that looked like magnetic tablets. By the window were a couple of sofas and a round orange crystal table with a tall, thin vase containing a few pretty red roses.

The man in the room put his hat on the table and raised his hand to unbutton the golden buttons at the collar of his coat, his aura gradually changing from indifference and abstinence to indulgence.

A servant suddenly walked in, and Gu Xiyu saw that she was holding a set of clothes in her hand: “Admiral, this is the clothes you left on the spaceship, do you want to ……”

Without looking at her, Caesar walked to a maroon cabinet in a retro design and replied as he took out the wine bottle inside, “Throw it away, it’s dirty.”

It should be the outfit he had accidentally soiled earlier.

The servant didn’t ask any more questions, and left after receiving an answer. Caesar stood at the table and was examining the glass in his hand with his eyes downcast. Gu Xiyu didn’t know what he thought, but a faint hint of disgust suddenly flashed through his eyes and he walked out of the room.

After making sure the door was closed, Gu Xiyu kicked the panel blocking the pipe passageway open and landed safely with a gentle jump.

It was really just an ordinary bedroom, and he had no idea what he was supposed to be looking for. This cold place didn’t look like it would hold the clues he was looking for.

The best way was to have direct contact with Caesar himself, but how was he going to communicate with him in his current state? Besides, he’d ruined his birthday celebration earlier. Caesar would want to skin him the moment he sees him.

Next to the shelf full of strange magnets was a black four sided box twice as tall as him; it beeped a few times as he passed.

The edges were bright and smooth, and he could even see his reflection clearly. The ears still hung heavily over his body, causing him to look little listless.

Cracks suddenly emerged from the face of the box and he took a wary step back. The middle surface of the box opened automatically to reveal a compartment. In the compartment lay something small and square, with a transparent button in the middle, and a red light flickering inside.

…… What was this? A remote for control bomb or a mysterious mechanism remote control, or a button that could unlock an unknown secret passage?

Gu Xiyu paused in place for a few seconds.

It was these few seconds of hesitation that made him overlook the fact that this whole thing was actually very strange from beginning to end.

By the time he realised that another breath had suddenly appeared behind him and tried to escape, it was already too late.

His rabbit ears and the back of his neck were grabbed and lifted, and he struggled to escape by stomping with his dangling rabbit legs.

The black-haired, blue-eyed admiral looked down at him from above, a soft, teasing smile in his eyes: “How deceptive.”

Gu Xiyu: “……”

Ever since he came to the mission world, he found that he seemed to be getting more foolish by the day.

He put the pot of too much curiosity on the identity of the beast race in this world.

Caesar released his other hand and pressed it gently towards his left ear as he said, “Finally got you. What a naughty rabbit, not so threatening –”

The he turned on his earpiece, “You don’t have to come over, I can handle it myself.”

“……” He was a rabbit that could discharge electricity and still snap a solid metal lock in one bite.

The door to the bedroom remained tightly closed.

Gu Xiyu suddenly felt his face hurt a little. He had just told the system that the Admiral’s mansion was too lax in its defense, but he had never thought that it was actually a trap set by this man.

Thinking of this, he looked up at the other man again, and the man was also sizing him up.

He had good ears, yet he hadn’t heard Caesar enter. He only became aware of the other man’s presence when he had come up behind him and was about to make a move to grab him.

Was this what an Imperial Admiral could do ……?

Gu Xiyu fell into contemplation again.

It could also be because he was no longer the original admiral, but a great villain that the crowd feared.

Gu Xiyu whipped his tail onto Caesar’s arm and, as viciously released electricity like he had before, attacking him in an attempt to to break free from his restraints.

As a result, this man, who had petulantly let go of at the first flick of his electricity earlier, was now acting as if he didn’t feel anything, and his grip on him hadn’t decreased in strength at all.

It was like there was no feeling at all.

Gu Xiyu saw his blue eyes flicker with some sparks of before fusing deeply with the colours within and disappearing.

Caesar hooked the corners of his mouth slightly, not only wasn’t there fear or pain, but as if he was silently saying ‘thanks for the hospitality, I had a good time absorbing it’.

“……” The vulnerability at the birthday party was all feigned, this was what he really looked like.

The clogged feeling in his heart that he hadn’t felt in a long time came up again, and Gu Xiyu was suddenly enlightened.

He calmly said to the system, “I’ve found my target.”

It took a few seconds for the system’s rhetorical question to come through, [Are you sure?]

Gu Xiyu did not respond again.

There are very few people who could make him so upset.

It would also go a long way to explaining why the man in front of him was not actually afraid of his electric shocks, yet he had to react differently in front of people.

Caesar stared at him for a while, then suddenly spoke softly, “Long-tailed rabbits with sharp teeth that discharge electricity.”

“You’re a tiger rabbit of the beast race.”

Tiger rabbits, as the name implies, are rabbits that combine some characteristics of the tiger race. They were cute in appearance but shouldn’t be messed with like ordinary domesticated rabbits. Tiger rabbits have sharp teeth that could bite through most metal objects and sharp claws that could pierce the defensive armor of ordinary soldiers. The most powerful electric shock on their bodies can electrocute all species under RDE number 200 in one go, while those above 200 can recieve some damage.

So when Caesar said ‘not threatening’, it was simply directed at him alone.

The rabbit in his hand took advantage of his wandering thoughts to quietly flash its sharp claws and scratch his wrist hard and mercilessly, making a few blood-red scratches.

Caesar, however, remained like a puppet who could not feel pain, and did not lose his temper with the troublesome tiger rabbit. His hand waved at the wounded area, which instantly disappeared.

“Quite fierce.” Caesar curled his good-looking eyes, “I like it.”

“……” Gu Xiyu didn’t want to speak.

He had met another pervert.

He had attacked Caesar on purpose, just to make a final confirmation of his identity.

Now he should call this man, Wen Yu.

Gu Xiyu thought that when Wen Yu caught him, he would submit him or deal with him. But no, after Wen Yu made sure he had calmed down, he took him to the sofa and sat down, cuddling him on his lap like a small pet.

Even though he didn’t like the feeling, he had to compromise for the time being. Wen Yu’s movement of holding him seemed casual, but in reality, he was precisely holding his lifeline, and if he showed any intention of resisting, he could immediately execute him on the spot.

“It seems that the testing center is still not strict enough.” Wen Yu said, his voice low like he was muttering to himself, “How else could you slip in.”

Tiger rabbits were a highly dangerous species among the beast race and were banned from being kept or entering the city. They were very rare in their race and hardly ever appeared in front of people, so those who actually knew them were few and far between.

The little warm thing on his lap was gazing at him with round eyes, nit bothering to hide the resentment and depression in them.

Perhaps he really was a bad character, otherwise, how could he not feel offended at all, and even have an indescribable sense of pleasure in his heart?

Wen Yu placed his finger against the tip of Gu Xiyu’s teeth, seemingly unaware that his action was extremely provocative, and added: “What did you want to do when you risk led coming to the territory of the human race?”

As these words fell, Gu Xiyu then felt a strange sensation coming from his body. He couldn’t say exactly what it was, but it was a feeling in his blood that made him realize clearly and profoundly that the man in front of him was not a human, but a higher being above their species.

The difference in nature made this body instinctively lose the thought of trying to resist.

Gu Xiyu was forced to reign in the aggressiveness as he blinked and said helplessly in his mind, ‘Rabbits can’t talk.’

“That’s okay.” Wen Yu suddenly spoke, his eyes locked on him, “I can hear the voice in your heart.”

“?” Gu Xiyu was confused.

The Great Demon’s cheats in this world were too many.

He tentatively said in a faint voice in his mind, “You’re so annoying.”

The hand that was pinching his furry body suddenly increased a few degrees of force before releasing it again, like he was kneading a doll.

“Thanks, your hate is a compliment to me.”

Gu Xiyu: “……” So it’s true.

So, he started to communicate with Wen Yu.

“There’s something I have to do, I can’t tell you yet.” Mainly, he wasn’t sure what the original owner wanted to bring to the Great Demon. What was it exactly?

It obviously couldn’t be the brooch.

The man in front of him was not the real Caesar, so that brooch would mean nothing to him. It could have been snatched from the real Caesar, or he could have picked it up somewhere.

Wen Yu: “Well, I look forward to your answer later.”

Gu Xiyu dwelled on it for a while, but still asked a very direct question, “Where did the real Admiral Caesar go?”

The man on the sofa replied in a light-hearted manner, “Dead.”

This answer was not a surprise.

Wen Yu was the first to break the brief silence and asked him, “Do you want to stay in the human territory?”

“Yes.” Gu Xiyu replied.

Then the person above him smiled gently again, showing a beautiful smile.

His hand stroked his head and back, “Stay by my side as my pet and you can stay.”

Gu Xiyu: “……?”

Is the Great Demon crazy?

He calmly asked, “The wine on the table hasn’t even been drunk yet and you’re already getting drunk? Why else would you start talking nonsense?”

This comment seemed to amuse Wen Yu, and he wordlessly petted a few more times.

He, however, had the frequent feeling of wanting to blow up, wanting to escape immediately but unable to do so.

It was true that Wen Yu liked the feel of the fur, and it wasn’t as if he had never seen a tiger rabbit or other more adorable and attractive beasts before, but he had never had the desire to keep anyone.

The one in front of him was a bit special.

Maybe it was because the scene and the way they first met was special, or maybe it was because of the panel that had suddenly appeared in his mind that had a lot to do with this tiger rabbit.

Moreover, it seemed that he was the target of this tiger rabbit’s mission.

Probably because he had lived in this world for too long, what was happening around him, what was dangerous in the eyes of others, was a kind of amusing pleasure for him.

Just a few short sentences were enough for him to grasp the situation of Gu Xiyu’s mission.

This was not Gu Xiyu’s first mission world. And judging from Gu Xiyu’s reaction, he had a certain amount of information about him, and he suspected that his targets in the other mission worlds were somehow related to him.

They could be his clones.

Although he didn’t understand the full workings of it all, and all speculation was just that, it didn’t stop him from anticipating some fun in his quiet life.

Wen Yu leaned back in the sofa, his eyes lingering on the panel in front of him for a long time before he closed it.

The crystal table was set with a bottle of red wine and two wine glasses he brought in later, and he raised his hand to pour some wine into each glass.

Since Gu Xiyu had been able to come to this world, it meant that he had finished the mission in the places he had visited before.

If his assumption was valid, then those other “him” were also bad.

The wine bottle made a crisp sound when it hit the table.

The look under Wen Yu’s eyes was a little cold.

He would never be swayed by one person as easily as they were.

In his eyes, the world was just a magic cube that he could manipulate as he wished, a place for him to play.

When he gets tired of it, he will destroy it with his own hands. No matter who it was, no one could be an exception to his rule.

Wen Yu picked up the glass of wine, put it to his mouth and gently took a sip. He pushed the other glass to the side: “Whether you want to be my pet companion or not, a visitor is a guest, try it.”

Gu Xiyu picked up the glass with his nimble tail before handing it to Wen Yu: “I don’t trust you.”

Wen Yu quickly understood what he meant and took a sip as well, proving that neither the wine nor the glass was drugged before handing it back, “That vigilance of yours, remember to use it more on the human race as well.”

Gu Xiyu looked at the glass and took a small sip in response before placing it back on the table.

“You ……” Gu Xiyu originally wanted to talk to Wen Yu about the purpose of his invasion of the human territories, or some plans. But his head suddenly became dizzy, he had a floating sensation like he was walking on clouds, as if he was drunk.

Before he lost consciousness, he saw the light smile under Wen Yu’s eyes.

There was no malice, it seemed to be a simple attempt to tease him.

“For the second time.” Wen Yu’s slightly gentle voice whispered into his ears, with a seductive magnetism.

His tail was slowly stroked from all the way to the tip, causing goosebumps and a tingling sensation to his body, giving him the illusion of being molested naked.

The owner of that sinful hand cupped the fluffy little blob at the tip of his tail, brought it lightly to his lips and said to him with downcast eyes, “How could I let go of such a deceitful tiger rabbit?”

Gu Xiyu was so angry that he closed both eyes and fell unconscious.

It was his fault, he had not yet recovered from the previous world, thinking that this great demon was also like the rebellious teenager who was simple, cute and trustworthy.

Now he had recognized what a nasty fellow the third world’s soul fragment was.

Maybe there was a serious disease.
