ATFBETIBM Chapter 354.2

Domestication 35

Elder Qingcheng tried to make his expression more humble, “That day was a misunderstanding. Look, I didn’t really kill you. It was just the whisk that injured you. If I really wanted to kill you, I could have done it at that time. I admit I was wrong. I didn’t understand the situation. I know I was wrong.”

Elder Qingcheng cautiously observed the man across from him.

But the more humble he appeared, the heavier the gloom on the man’s face.

“Enough!” Suddenly, the man across from him shouted angrily, “Shut up!”

“It’s really ugly.”

‘Don’t use my face to make such a disgusting expression!’

Elder Qingcheng’s face suddenly turned pale because he saw the man across from him forming his hands into claws, and tearing at the barrier.

The semi-transparent barrier twisted and deformed like a balloon, and a crack slowly appeared.

Elder Qingcheng was shocked. He quickly threw out another barrier card, but it was in vain.

The barrier card only increased the duration, not the strength.

The hand slowly reached through the crack, tearing the barrier like squeezing plastic, and creating a large opening.

Elder Qingcheng couldn’t believe it.

This was an S-level defense prop!

Even an S-level copy boss couldn’t break through the barrier! This person just tore it open with his hands?!

Who is he?

A large hand suddenly grabbed Elder Qingcheng’s face. He felt a sharp pain, and when he looked over, he saw a bloody face skin in the monk’s blood-stained hand.

Black energy surrounded him, and his eyes were dark with a terrifying murderous intent.

Such an expression actually appeared on a monk.

Elder Qingcheng couldn’t decide which was scarier—the monster behind him or the man in front of him.

“Ah, my face, it hurts!” Elder Qingcheng exclaimed in pain, reaching for a healing card.

The evil monk stepped on his arm and said coldly, “Tell me clearly, is this your face?”

Elder Qingcheng looked at the man across from him in surprise. Something immediately flashed in his mind.

Just as he was about to say something, a long sword mercilessly pierced his heart.

“Just because I don’t kill, but that doesn’t mean I don’t kill.” The monk looked down at the man on the ground with cold eyes. “Touch me, and I can endure it. But If you mess with those close to me, you truly don’t know the consequences.”

“Ten lives wouldn’t be enough for you!”

Elder Qingcheng lay on the ground, blood oozing from his mouth. This time, he clearly knew he was going to die.

Last words.

He needed to leave something behind.

“I…” Using his last strength, he reached out towards Bai Lixin, “My real name is…”

The long sword was pulled out, and directly stabbed into Elder Qingcheng’s throat.

Elder Qingcheng’s eyes suddenly lost focus, and his last words were swallowed forcefully.

“If you use steal someone else’s identity, be prepared to disappear from this world forever.” The man threw down these words, decisively pulled out the sword, and returned to Bai Lixin’s side.

Bai Lixin looked at Elder Qingcheng’s body and pursed his lips.

Seeing this, Dijia immediately started explaining, “He dragged you from a normal copy with the intention of killing you. And he used…a face, making it even worse. Scum like him doesn’t deserve any kind thoughts.”

He paused, changed his fierce expression from earlier, and cautiously observed Bai Lixin’s expression. “Do you think I’m cruel?”

Bai Lixin was dazed for a moment. Then he blinked and looked at Dijia. “Huh? No, why would I? Being soft-hearted to enemies is being ruthless to oneself. I understand.”

Dijia: “So you don’t blame me?”

Bai Lixin: “Blame you for what? Blame you for getting angry because of a beautiful face?”

Dijia: “Then… do you think I’m cruel and bloody?”

‘Wuuu, I’m afraid my wife will despise me. It’s hard, I killed someone in front of my wife for the first time.’

Bai Lixin was a bit confused. “No, why would you think that?”

‘I can also be ruthless if I meet such people.’

Dijia: “Then why didn’t you speak just now?”

‘My wife didn’t speak the whole time. He must hate me, he’s just too shy to say it.’

“Oh, I was lost in thought just now. I was thinking about the saying ‘to untie the bell, the person who tied it must do it’. If he’s not the cause, then who is?”

Bai Lixin paused. “Then I thought of someone, no, a dragon.”

Dijia: “?”

Bai Lixin: “Remember the eye of the formation? The dragon girl told me that when she was here, she would attract all the town’s qi to this place. Without her, this monster wouldn’t have been created. Elder Qingcheng wanted to create this monster, but the real creator is the dragon girl. She is the energy, the eye of the formation, the real person to untie the bell.”

“Coincidentally, when I saved the dragon girl, she owed me a favor.”

With that, Bai Lixin shouted to the sky, “Dragon girl, can you hear me? Come out and repay your debt!”

In the silent darkness above, a huge lightning bolt suddenly tore through the darkness, piercing down.

The next moment, a red dragon emitting golden light descended from the sky, winding its body and flying towards them.

The huge dragon flew directly to Bai Lixin.

There was a flash of golden light, and the dragon disappeared, replaced by a cold and radiant red tassel spear!

The spearhead of the red tassel spear trembled slightly, emitting a dragon’s roar.

The red tassel spear rotated twice above Bai Lixin’s head, and Bai Lixin said, “Go!”

The next moment, the body of the red tassel spear expanded several times and charged directly at the monster.

It pierced through from one side, then came out from the other.

The black monster, which was originally moving, suddenly roared, its body deflating like a punctured balloon. Countless sticky black liquid flowed out from its opening.

The red tassel spear pursued, piercing again.

Bai Lixin stood on the shore, and all he could see was a flickering red light jumping in the air, leaving beautiful streams of light.

Holes kept appearing on the monster’s body, and with the flow of the viscous black substance, its body quickly shrank. Yet, it stubbornly stood, showing no sign of falling.

It felt like there was still something missing.

Bai Lixin’s gaze suddenly fell on the staff next to Dijia.

Before Dijia could react, Bai Lixin directly grabbed the staff and threw it towards the direction of the monster.

There was a faint, hissing sound in the air, as if the weapon was cursing.

The staff directly smashed onto the monster’s head.

The monster seemed to be stunned, swaying for a moment. Suddenly, it collapsed.

The red tassel spear saw the right moment and stabbed it directly.

At that moment, the monster suddenly screamed and struggled violently.

It struggled for a while and then remained motionless.

The monsters around that were originally eating, all turned into a black puddle, and the dark clouds overhead immediately cleared.

The staff and the red tassel spear swayed back to Bai Lixin and Dijia.

The staff vigorously shook off the sticky black substance on it’s body, and the bell on it jingled.

The red tassel spear had returned to its normal size. With a forceful swing in mid-air, it instantly flung off all the sticky black substance.

Just after cleaning the body, a puddle of viscous black liquid suddenly splattered onto the staff.

The staff’s body instantly shook: “Ding ding dang dang! Ding ding dang dang!”

‘Who did it, who did it!’

After cleaning its body, the red tassel spear slowly floated to Bai Lixin’s side.

Bai Lixin reached out and touched it, and the system’s notification immediately rang out in his mind.

[Ding! Congratulations, player, you’ve obtained the prop — Divine Dragon Red Tassel Spear!]

Looking at the mess around, Bai Lixin glanced at Dijia: “Shall we go back?”

Dijia nodded: “Yes.”

The two entered the temple, and Bai Lixin walked straight to the meditation room, tossing the cassock on the lotus seat to the ground.

The cassock was undone, and a small sticky black thing quivered and crawled out.

It didn’t run but sat obediently on the robe. From its black sticky body, two tentacles slowly extended, resembling a child wanting a hug.

“Mama, hug.”

Suddenly, a childish voice echoed in the air.

Bai Lixin looked down at the black creature, and heard the voice again: “Mama, Mama, hug.”

Dijia happened to walk in and witnessed the scene.

He raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything. After approaching, he commented, “Are you going to be a mother?”

“Haha,” Bai Lixin chuckled, “Tuanzi, you have a brother now.”

In the next moment, the red tassel spear pierced through the body of the black creature.

After struggling for a moment, the creature became still.

Bai Lixin cruelly pulled out the red tassel spear, “Fooled you, not just anyone can be related to me.”

[Ding! Congratulations, player, the kill task was successful!]

[Congratulations, player, task two complete! After leaving the copy, you can gain a large amount of mall points and performance points.]

Is this the false-god created by humans?

It’s not only powerful but also cunning.

Too bad, it’s still not as smart as him.

When he didn’t hear the system notification, he knew the task wasn’t over; the monster was still alive.

He immediately thought of the little thing wrapped in the cassock.

Terrifying—a monster born from devouring evil thoughts, knows how to exploit the softest corners of humanity right after its birth. If left unchecked, who knows what it would have become.

In the live broadcast room

[Hahaha, God Xin is mischievous again.]

[Master Tuanzi lost a brother x1.]

[Master Tuanzi: This kind of ugly brother, I don’t want! What cats and dogs dare to come over and be related to me?]

[In the end, the Dragon girl still offered herself to repay God Xin’s lifesaving grace, hahaha. In the end, she couldn’t escape.]

[Exciting, seeing that face peeled off in an instant was really satisfying.]

[I was relieved to see Elder Qingcheng Elder die.]

[But, he’s also a player.]

[So what? God Xin is also a player, does he deserve to be dragged by others into a copy and be killed? If he’s killed, can he leave safely? If he’s not killed, should he be morally kidnapped and let him go just because he’s a player? Where in the world is such a good thing? If you want to kill, be prepared to be killed.]

[That’s right!]

——————————

Task two was complete, leaving only task one.

All that was left to do was wait for time to elapse.

Of course, our Lord Dijia is a person who makes full use of time. They spent two days and two nights in the temple.

On the last day, Bai Lixin finally escaped from the temple and returned to Qingcheng Town.

In Qingcheng Town, there was a lot of paper money scattered on the ground, and from a distance, he saw a team carrying a coffin.

He approached and found the word “Lin” written on the coffin.

“Sir?!” A familiar voice rang out. Bai Lixin followed the sound and saw Zhang Biao, dressed in a white linen robe, walking towards him.

“Why are you wearing linen?” Bai Lixin looked Zhang Biao up and down.

Zhang Biao sighed, “In one night, County Magistrate Lin, Old Madam Lin, and Yi Niang Qian all died tragically. There were no wounds on their bodies, but after the coroner checked, they found no signs of poisoning either.”

“Not only them, but there were also seven people in the city who died mysteriously at the same time.”

“No perpetrator appeared, and we suspect it’s the work of an evil spirit.”

“County Magistrate Lin’s family died at the same time. The servants were scared and ran away, there was no one to collect their bodies, so us colleagues from the yamen gave them their final journey. It’s also considered a colleague’s last service.”

There were whispers from passersby.

“Is it County Magistrate Lin’s family?”

“Yes, I heard the whole family died tragically.”

“Retribution, this is retribution! County Magistrate Lin was heartless in his wealth. As our local official in Qingcheng Town, he only served the rich. This is retribution for being a corrupt official! I hope all officials will learn from this! He deserved to die!”

“Hush, speak softly.”

“What am I afraid of? I heard their whole family died. Not only that, they didn’t even leave behind a son or daughter. What else is this if not retribution? If officials don’t act for the people, it’s better to go home and sell sweet potatoes.”

“I only regret that he died too late, otherwise, my mother wouldn’t have died unjustly!”

On the coffin, someone threw rotten vegetable leaves.

Then a second, a third…more and more rotten vegetables were thrown onto the coffin, as well as on Zhang Biao and the others.

Some constables wanted to rush out, but Zhang Biao stopped them.

“Let them throw. What they say is correct. County Magistrate Lin has caused trouble in our area for years. We saw it with our own eyes but were indifferent. If we don’t stop evil, what are we? We deserve to be thrown at.”
