ATFBETIBM Chapter 678.2

Deadly Voyage: Extra 23

The Countess couldn’t struggle, and had no choice but to passively accept his hold.

“Now it seems those people are convinced I’m the siren,” the man came close to the Countess’s ear and whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear. “Are you satisfied with my recent performance, Madam?”

The Countess: “Mind your own business.”

The man pinched the Countess’s chin. “You’re really a cold-blooded beauty, Countess, so heartless. You were so eager to please me when you wanted my help back then. Now that you’ve achieved your goal, am I no longer of use to you?”

The Countess narrowed her eyes dangerously, her hand quietly sliding out a dagger and pressing it against the man’s side. “Don’t do anything unnecessary. My dagger is very sharp.”

The man wasn’t afraid. He even pressed his waist forward slightly. “Do you think your dagger is sharper, or mine?”

The Countess’s face suddenly darkened. “Don’t be shameless.”

The background music suddenly shifted to a passionate symphony, and the couples on the dance floor started to dance more vigorously, swaying their hips with joy.

Just as the Countess was about to plunge the dagger into the man’s side, he grabbed her hand and pushed her away. The dagger brushed past his side, not even cutting his clothes. He pulled the Countess into a dip, his hand pressing down on her wrist holding the dagger. “So ruthless, trying to kill your own husband? I do want to die on you, but in bed, not here.”

The Countess’s face flushed with anger and she struggled to free her hand, trying to stab again.

The man smoothly stepped aside, pulling the Countess into a hidden corner of the dance floor. With one hand, he pinned both of the Countess’s hands behind her back, and with the other, he traced the curve of her waist slowly, teasingly.

His slender pinky finger lightly lifted the slit of her dress, his fingertip brushing against her smooth skin, kneading and caressing.

The Countess trembled, her eyes glaring fiercely at the man in front of her, as if they were about to spit fire.

But what use was that?

No matter how ashamed she felt, she was still in the man’s control, being toyed with.

The man stared into her eyes like blazing flames, and fire spread from his lower abdomen.

His eyes turned deep and dark, with a faint whirlpool swirling within.

The Countess froze for a moment when she saw his eyes, her body instinctively shivering.

Her face tightened as she muttered angrily, “You beast.”

The man finally couldn’t hold back any longer. He dragged the unwilling Countess into the corridor beside them.

Then he quietly led her up to the second floor again.

The same room, the same dark environment.

Without a word, he pressed the Countess against the wall and tore off her clothes. Her chest hit the cold wall, and her body shuddered instinctively.

The Countess let out a cry of pain, and her curses echoed in the room.

“How dare you humiliate me again and again! I curse you, you’ll regret what you’ve done today! I won’t let you off!”

The man chuckled. “So, the siren’s true form is a little goblin who holds grudges. I’m looking forward to seeing how you’ll make me regret this. Is it like what you’re doing now?”

“Why wait for later? Can’t you do something to me now, little goblin?”

He grabbed the siren’s hair from behind and yanked hard, forcing the siren to turn and look at him.

In the darkness, the siren’s eyes shone brightly, with flames mixed with stars, as if they were going to ignite the entire sky.

The man sighed softly and kissed the corner of the siren’s eyes with deep emotion.

The siren tried to evade, but the man held his hair tightly. “I love seeing that expression of yours—wanting to kill me but completely powerless to do so.”

“Heh,” the man sneered, forcing the siren to look at him. “Look carefully at my face. Never forget it. Don’t you want revenge, don’t you want to curse me? Then chase me to the ends of the earth. If you don’t love me, then hate me with all your heart, hate me until you want to kill me. That way, you’ll never forget me.”

Who would’ve thought that the terrifying siren that was feared by everyone, was now pinned against the wall by a man?

The siren couldn’t break free from the man and could only use all his strength to brace his hands against the wall.

This attack was even more fierce than the previous ones. The man seemed like a beast tamer, trying to domesticate this wild beast.

This fact filled the siren with anger and shame.

He turned to bite the man, but his body instinctively submitted to the man’s dominance.

The biting turned into rough kissing at some point. The surrounding air grew hotter, and the two embraced tightly, using all their strength against each other.

It was more like a savage battle between beasts, with no room for retreat, only the desire to subdue the other…

[Lord Host?]

[Lord Host!]

[Lord Host, wake up!]

[Master Bai Lixin! It’s time!]

An electric current surged through his body, and Bai Lixin abruptly opened his eyes. His entire body felt so heavy, as if a car had run over him.

In his head, the voices of S419M and Sister System were shouting, one after the other. Bai Lixin frowned and held his head: [So noisy. Stop talking.]

The two systems immediately fell silent.

After a few seconds, S419M said: [Lord Host, you’re finally awake. If you don’t hurry, you’ll miss tonight’s birthday banquet.]

Bai Lixin’s head buzzed: [What time is it?]

S419M: [It’s already 7:30 p.m. The Count has been looking for you. The Countess’s birthday banquet was supposed to start at 7 p.m., but because you didn’t show up, it’s been delayed until now. The guests in the hall are starting to gossip.]

Bai Lixin staggered as he stepped out of bed, almost falling to the ground.

He could only weakly support himself against the wall, walking step by step toward the bathroom.

‘Damn, I’m so exhausted.’

‘I’m never playing taming games with Dijia again.’

Bai Lixin looked at himself in the mirror, and the phrase “too horrible to look at” came to mind.

His entire body was covered in mottled marks, from his neck to his ankles, with no way to hide them.

He rubbed his temples in frustration.

Taming play was too new for him, and he had been so excited that he forgot he had an important event in the evening.

How was he supposed to attend the birthday banquet like this?

Even though his body was covered in marls, he felt clean. It seemed that Dijia had cleaned him up before leaving.

There was a dress by the bedside—a large black outfit that covered his entire body, decorated with countless tiny diamonds, like stars in the night sky.

Hurried footsteps echoed outside, and Bai Lixin quickly put on the dress, styled his hair, and gracefully walked out of the room.

The servants were excited when they saw the Countess and rushed over, but no one dared to ask where he had been. They quickly led him to find the Count.

The Count was greeting guests on the first floor.

He had slept all afternoon, but his expression looked even worse.

When the Countess appeared in front of him, holding up the heavy starry black skirt, he was first stunned, and then his face changed, growing even darker.

Perhaps because of the guests in the hall, he took a few deep breaths and, with a gloomy expression, linked arms with the Countess.

Ji Nansheng didn’t miss the subtle changes in the Count’s demeanor. He and the other players gathered together, occasionally glancing at Dijia, who stood not far away.

He had seen Dijia come downstairs from the second floor at 6:30 p.m. It was obvious to everyone that the Countess had been missing, and the Count had been searching the hall for her.

An hour later, the Countess had also come down from the second floor.

The one-hour gap left everyone wondering what the two had been doing upstairs.

The Countess looked at the Count next to her affectionately, a stark contrast to the cold woman in the room earlier.

However, the Count was different. Though he forced a smile, his clenched white fists betrayed his inner anxiety and rejection.

The Count was afraid.

But afraid of what?

Afraid of the Countess’s dress?

The two walked down the stairs hand in hand, and just as they reached the first step, the lights overhead suddenly went out.

The entire room plunged into darkness, with only the Countess’s gown still sparkling brilliantly like the stars in the night sky.

“Happy birthday~”

Suddenly, a voice rang out from a corner, and a servant wheeled out a grand cake tower. Candles of various colors flickered atop it, casting a colorful glow and bringing warmth and light to the hall.

The atmosphere quickly became cozy.

Just as the cake tower was about to reach the Countess, a shrill scream echoed through the hall.

Ji Nansheng looked toward the source of the sound. In a dark corner, a ghostly figure was clearly visible. It had pinned a man to the sofa, its arms tightly strangling his neck. The man’s eyes bulged and his face was twisted in agony, seemingly already dead.

The scream had come from the person beside him, and his cry drew everyone’s attention. When they saw the ghostly figure and the murdered man, the crowd shrieked and retreated.

The lights came back on, instantly dispelling the darkness and the eerie figure.

The ship’s doctor rushed forward, and after a few minutes, he shook his head. “He’s gone.”

Ji Nansheng and the others exchanged uneasy glances.

The dead man was none other than the man who had framed his wife that morning, trying to blame her for the scandal.

Now he was dead, killed by that ghostly figure.

The people in the hall no longer cared about the Countess’s birthday banquet. They were in a frenzy, shouting hysterically.

“Did you see that? That monster! It’s the siren, it must be the siren! The siren came out to kill!”

“How long are we going to keep deceiving ourselves? This is the siren’s territory, we’re in the siren’s territory!”

Overwhelmed with fear, someone rushed at the Count, only to be stopped by his guards.

When he was blocked, the man yelled at the Count, “I don’t care if you’re some noble Count! You have to let us go! I don’t want to die here, get us out of here!”

Suddenly, the Countess cried out, “Count!”

The elderly Count collapsed to the ground, his face pale as paper.
