Li Shu took his phone and glanced at the time. It was 1:30 AM. He turned his gaze to the person above him, his eyes filled with confusion.
The room was dark, with only a small lamp illuminating this small world. Li Shu propped himself up on the bed, trying to sit up, but before he could get up, he was easily pinned down by the merman.
Lu Xi did not speak. He merely looked at him with eyes full of unreadable emotions. After a moment of staring, Li Shu was the first to give in.
“Lu Xi, what are you trying to do?”
At the base, Li Shu had not restricted Lu Xi’s freedom much, and now that they were here, even less so. Lu Xi could move in and out of the house freely. For safety reasons, Li Shu had advised him not to expose himself.

Only Li Yan knew about bringing the merman out of the base. It wasn’t that Li Shu didn’t trust the rest of the Li family, but sometimes, the fewer people who knew about certain things, the better.

“I know how to transform into legs,” Lu Xi easily restrained Li Shu’s attempt to sit up. As soon as he said this, Li Shu paused.
“What way?” Remembering the words Lin Luo had mentioned, Li Shu couldn’t help but wonder if Lu Xi was referring to another method.
Li Shu was skeptical about Lin Luo’s conclusion that “mating can turn the tail into legs”. This idea was even more bizarre than the previous claim that merfolk could make men pregnant.

“You know, I know you know.” Lu Xi’s voice was soft, with a seductive whisper at the end. He allowed himself to be immersed in the warmth given by the person in front of him.

Lin Luo didn’t sleep. He sat by the outdoor swimming pool draped in a loose coat. He couldn’t sleep because of the day’s events.
His knowledge of merfolk came from Yasu. In fact, he didn’t know much about this race. He met Yasu while traveling, was naturally attracted to him and quickly fell in love. Although they hadn’t known each other long, their feelings were intense, or so he thought.
