It was dark all around.
The feeling of restraint disappeared, and he heard a slimy, snake-like voice in his ear.

The area around him was covered with black diamond-shaped stones.

Inside the tower, a giant black snake statue coiled in mid-air at the center. Its black body was wrapped in chains, its mouth wide open, and its expression ferocious.

The black snake swayed its head. “Why has your body become so robust?”
“Of course, it’s so I can give you a warm, big hug later.”
“Snake Queen, you’re so thoughtful!”
The black snake wriggled with excitement, leading the bride toward the main hall.
As soon as they left, the door that hadn’t been properly closed was slowly pushed open.
A tall, slender young man stood in the doorway, his expression strange as he looked in the direction the snake and the bride had left. He then turned to head up the stairs.

Bai Lixin followed the voice. Behind a similar metal barrier, there was another girl with a snake tail.
This girl’s belly was flat, her face was pale, and she looked weak. In the corner, there was a lump covered in slimy amniotic fluid, pulsing like a fetus.
