ATFBETIBM Chapter 725.2 [END]

Wedding 2: Extra 70 [END]

“King Yama himself?”

“Are we attending a wedding in the mortal world? This scene feels a bit too… otherworldly.”

“Only God Xin can stir up all three realms for a wedding. Incredible!”

Bai Lixin took a deep breath. “Is there more?”

Dijia’s reply filled him with despair: “Of course.”

As he spoke, a loud rumbling came from all sides.

Dust billowed around the Blue Sea Hotel, as if some massive object had landed.

When the dust cleared, Bai Lixin saw that a school campus had surrounded the Blue Sea Hotel.

The moon in the sky had turned red.

“You…” Bai Lixin’s temples throbbed. “Did you actually move the Campus Oddities school here?”

Dijia gently interlocked his fingers with Bai Lixin’s, his soft voice whispering near his ear. “The surprise I prepared for you is hidden inside the school. It’s a puzzle game you are very good at. Shall we search for it together?”

Bai Lixin glanced at the chaotic scene. “And what about everyone else?”

Dijia: “With so many wedding activities, they won’t get bored.”

“Are you sure there won’t be casualties?”

“No worries, I placed a restriction on the invitations—they can’t hurt anyone.”

Amid the chaos of the wedding scene, no one noticed the two main characters slipping away.

The sounds of the crowd and commotion gradually faded behind them.

Bai Lixin stopped in the square at the center of the school.

In the center stood a marble sculpture, which was a stone statue of an angel, with lifelike wings spread out, the angel’s eyes slightly closed, and his finger pointing in a certain direction.

Following the angel statue’s gesture, Bai Lixin saw a seven-story teaching building.

Red ribbons wrapped the building, making it look like a giant gift tied with a massive bow.

Could it be any more obvious?

With a glance at the humanoid pendant beside him, Bai Lixin stepped toward the teaching building.

The staircase was carpeted in red, and the lobby was decorated with vibrant flowers, creating a stage.

In the midst of the flowers stood a boy and a girl; the girl wore a white swan ballet dress, and the boy was positioned as her dance partner.

The girl lifted one leg, her chin slightly lowered, and arms extended, like a girl in a music box.

As Bai Lixin approached, an electric voice echoed from above:

[Player Bai Lixin, please activate the music and command the lovers in the sea of flowers to perform their dance. You will get the next clue after completing the task.]

[Hurry up, Lord Host!]

“Haha, even S419M and Sister System are back?”

Bai Lixin barely made a full turn around the hall before finding the hidden tape recorder buried in a sea of flowers.

He pressed play, and enchanting music began to flow. The girl and boy within the flowers started dancing to the melody.

Compared to the girl’s fluid movements, the boy’s were noticeably clumsy.

But it didn’t matter; their coordination was nearly flawless, and the minor missteps could be easily overlooked.

Bai Lixin stood at the edge of the flowers, watching the boy and girl dancing.

He recognized them.

The girl was the female ghost dancing in the art building in the Campus Oddities copy, while the boy was male ghost, Fearful, who had been dismembered.

Now, both had regained their original appearances. The girl waved her limbs joyfully, while the boy looked at her happily.

They stood on a stage encircled by flowers, really like dancing dolls in a music box.

As the music ended, the two stopped dancing. The girl extended her slender arm, her finger pointing in a certain direction.

Bai Lixin followed the direction of her gesture and walked out of the teaching building.

Ahead was an ancient-style opera stage adorned with ribbons that fluttered as if beckoning him forward.

When Bai Lixin reached the stage, he found it was already set. On the stage were two graceful figures dressed in white and green.

The figure in green: “Sister, Xu Xian is not your destined match.”

The one in white: “Then where is my destined match?”

The green figure’s water sleeves fluttered as she moved closer to the one in white: “Far in the sky, yet right before your eyes.”

The figure in white fell into the arms of the one in green, lifting an arm and pointing in another direction.

Bai Lixin recognized these two as well.

They were NPCs from the Republic era copy: the one in green was the immortal in the painting, and the one in white was Feng Gu, the daughter of the immortal’s old master.

Leaving the stage, Bai Lixin continued along the path indicated by the figure in white.

Though he was still in a campus setting, Dijia’s handiwork was evident. The campus was unusually vast.

After walking for a while, he heard the sound of drums.

As he followed the sound, Bai Lixin noticed Dijia trailing him, never falling behind.

Turning a corner, an outdoor stage suddenly came into view.

A small crowd stood below, clapping and cheering from time to time.

The performers on stage were a bit unusual. They weren’t human but foxes.

A white and black fox performed fire-breathing tricks, while a fiery red-furred fox mimicked a woman applying makeup before a mirror.

Alongside the adult foxes were smaller foxes, some pounding drums fiercely and others holding trays, soliciting tips.

As Bai Lixin joined the crowd, he spotted familiar faces.

The constables from the Domestication copy clapped enthusiastically, some offering money, others applause, showering the performers with encouragement.

The audience watched intently, and the foxes on stage performed with extra flair.

As the acrobatics neared their finale, the drumbeats quickened. Finally, the black and white fox leapt up, performed a set of handsome kicks and froze mid-pose, pointing in a direction.

Bai Lixin extended a hand toward Dijia.

Dijia tilted his head and placed his palm in Bai Lixin’s, closing it gently.

Bai Lixin withdrew his hand. “Give me some money. Tips.”

Dijia withdrew his hand sullenly and silently took out a silver ingot from space.

A little fox barely reaching Bai Lixin’s knee, bounded over. Bai Lixin patted the fluffy head, placed the silver ingot down, and pulled Dijia to continue working forward.

Ahead, a swimming pool came into view.

Several colorful fish tails broke the surface and moved in sync, like dancers performing ballet underwater.

Bai Lixin stopped and watched.

Suddenly, a red-tailed merfolk emerged, its tail tip flicking back and forth and stirring ripples in the water. It placed a hand on its chest, formed a heart shape and threw Bai Lixin a flirtatious glance.

Dijia, who had been standing quietly, pursed his lips and pulled Bai Lixin forward.

Bai Lixin: “Hey, I haven’t finished watching.”

Dijia: “What’s so good about it? I’ll dance for you at home.”

Bai Lixin: “But I haven’t found the final clue yet.”

Dijia: “It’s the only path. Even without the clues, the next location is obvious.”

Pulled along by Dijia, Bai Lixin soon found himself in a field of alternating green and white.

White gauze curtains were set up on the green lawn.

Many people were standing on either side of the lawn, waiting eagerly. When they saw Bai Lixin approaching, some of them waved excitedly.

Bai Lixin looked at Dijia in surprise.

Dijia interlocked his fingers with Bai Lixin’s and leaned close to his ear. “You didn’t really think I was just randomly acting strange, did you?”

His warm tone carried a depth of emotion.

A wave of warmth rose in Bai Lixin’s chest, and he tightened his grip, holding his love firmly.

The real wedding scene was tucked away on the inconspicuous campus lawn.

There weren’t many attendees, just familiar friends.

Xia Chi, Tan Yue, Zhou Guang, Li Cancan, Liang Xi, Sun Ning, Song Yuantian, Hongyue…

There were also many NPC guests.

Young King Yama, the fox family, the little girl Miu Miu, the ballet dancer, Fearful, Xiao Tou, God of Misfortune, the Little Black-Furry Monster, villagers from Chenjia Village…

Under the gaze of their well-wishers, Dijia led Bai Lixin across the archway bridge draped in white.

The man knelt on one knee, his deep eyes filled with love.

“I love you,” he pledged, “My life may be long, but it cannot match the depth of your soul. For a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand years… even to eternity, I will never let go of your hand, no matter how time and tide may change.”

The guests below held their breath.

Soft sobs could be heard among the crowd.

Bai Lixin’s nose tingled. He pulled Dijia up and embraced him, whispering in his ear, “So this is the surprise you prepared for me? Then what was everything else outside?”

Dijia replied in a voice only they could hear, “Getting married to you is a big deal, it would be a pity if no one knew about it.”

Bai Lixin narrowed his eyes. “So, you really wanted to invite them?”

Dijia: “Uh…I’ll handle it.”

Bai Lixin: “Heh.”

“Wuuuu, so touching,” someone finally burst into tears below the stage.

Bai Lixin glanced over; it was the little girl Miu Miu.

Miu Miu was a virus from a horror game. Now she had tear-streaked eyes. “I believe in love again.”

Seeing her alone, Grandma Chen from Chenjia Village hugged her gently, “There, there, child. Don’t cry.”

Chen Xiaoshi looked around in wonder, “Brother, it’s so perfect here. They’re all dressed beautifully, and the food looks amazing.”

Xia Chi next to him murmured, “It’s eighty years after your time now.”

Chen Xiaoshi sighed, “That’s wonderful.”

Xia Chi: “It’s because of you all that we’re able to be here. Without you, there would be no us.”

Hearing this, the boy flashed a bright smile, his eyes twinkling. “That’s good then. As long as you’re well. By the way, I heard from a player that you even have game consoles here? What do they look like? Can you show me?”

Xia Chi’s eyes were already red. He immediately grabbed the boy’s hand. “Not just game consoles, we have plenty of fun things. Come, I’ll take you.”

A loud noise came from outside.

The wedding was over, and everyone went toward the hotel.

It turned out the robot army, zombie army, and undead army had begun fighting again.

The newly-repaired ground was once again a chaotic mess from their skirmish.

In the sky, ghosts and night elves soared back and forth.

On the ground, the player-guests moved through the dense crowds of monsters.

In the ocean, merfolk held bottles, drinking heavily, their songs reverberating through the sky.

Their singing carried sound waves, stirring the sea into towering ten-meter-high waves, as if they were about to crash onto the chaotic scene below.

Bai Lixin glanced at Dijia beside him.

The man straightened his back, “No problem, I can handle it.”

There were some strange sounds and lights overhead. Bai Lixin looked up and saw a helicopter slowly approaching the sky above the Blue Sea Hotel. Someone on the helicopter was pointing a camera down, as if filming.

Zhou Guang came over holding his phone, his usually calm features twisted in a frown. “God Xin, your wedding is on the hot search.”

Bai Lixin: ?

Zhou Guang handed him the phone. “You should see for yourself.”

Bai Lixin took the phone.

Bai Lixin: “…”

His finger scrolled down, but he couldn’t see the end.

This is the hot search? Wasn’t this more like a barrage?

Bai Lixin tapped on the trending topic #Risking Your Life To Interview.

Immediately, the screen showed a close-up of the little black-furry monster.

Its fluffy, round body had a pair of exaggeratedly large, glimmering eyes.

It was waving its hands and feet at the camera.

Next to it, the host holding the microphone was trembling, “Um, may I ask… may I ask why you all suddenly gathered here? Is there a reason?”

The little black-furry monster raised its arms, “Of course, we’re here to attend Bai Lixin’s wedding!!!”

Bai Lixin covered his face.

Thirty thousand years, and for the first time, he had the urge to change his name.

Host: “Who is Bai Lixin?”

“He’s my good friend! A beautiful and cunning person. Remember his name, he invited us here!” The little black-furry monster waved its arms at the camera, “Bai Lixin, congratulations on your wedding!!!”

Host: “So… the culprit is this person named Bai Lixin?”

Bai Lixin: “…”

‘Stop shouting, stop shouting, the whole world can hear you.’

‘It can’t be washed away now.’

He glanced at the man beside him and let out a sneer from the corner of his mouth.

‘Didn’t you want everyone to know?’

‘Is this grand scene everything you wished for?’

Dijia coughed lightly, “It can be fixed, everything can be fixed.”

As the midnight bells chimed, beams of white light appeared, engulfing the NPCs who had attended the wedding.

In a trance, Bai Lixin seemed to see them waving at him within the white light.

The green-skinned merfolk: We’re leaving. Goodbye, child.

The Sea Goddess: Lastly, on behalf of the ocean, we wish you happiness.

Beautiful merfolk: Be happy!

Undead army: Until we meet again.

Zombie army: It’s finally over, hope we never meet again!

Robot army: God, I believe that we will meet again at the end of time.

The villagers of Chenjia Village smiled at Bai Lixin from within the white light.

The fox family frantically waved their fluffy ears.

The hundreds of ghosts waved their soul-calling banners, departing in the white light just as grandly as they had arrived.

With each disappearance of the white light, another group vanished from sight.

Gradually, the chaotic scene turned quiet and empty.

Finally, only the player guests remained.

Dijia’s voice wasn’t loud, but it penetrated the air and reached every guest’s ear, “The wedding is over. All guests, please go upstairs to rest. Tomorrow morning, you will return safely.”

The player guests were still reluctant to leave, but they still obeyed obediently. They gathered their emotions and gradually returned to their rooms.

The last group of human player guests also left, leaving the bustling scene completely silent.

Dijia turned his hand, and the destroyed scene was restored to its original state: the lush green lawn, the quiet ocean, the bright moonlight, the peaceful night sky, and the gentle breeze…

As if the NPCs had never appeared.

Bai Lixin opened his phone and saw that the hot searches that had kept the whole world awake had disappeared.

He scrolled a few lines and only saw that some company had issues, and a certain celebrity in the entertainment industry had caused some new gossip.

It was just another ordinary day.

But for him, it was a thrilling, unforgettable day…

The next day, the human player guests gradually departed.

The chaotic wedding had finally ended perfectly.

No, it hadn’t.

Dijia clung to him, pestering him to go on a honeymoon.

Bai Lixin looked at the clingy Dijia, “Where do you want to go?”

Dijia: “Let’s start by the sea, then the jungle, and then…”

The young man narrowed his eyes, “Are you planning to go on forever?”

Dijia pouted, clinging like a new bride sending off her husband to war, “Then just one place.”

Bai Lixin agreed, “Alright, where?”

Dijia: “Let’s go to Hawaii.”

Bai Lixin pictured Dijia in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts and suddenly felt interested.
