HS Chapter 5

Face Blindness 5

Watching a beauty cry under the light is extremely impactful.

The long eyelashes were like butterfly wings, his eyelids very thin. His eye sockets were not the deep kind, but the lines outlining their shape flowed smoothly and stretched gently to the corners of his eyes. When the transparent teardrops slid down, they spread into a faint rose color.

It wasn’t vivid or overly dramatic, but against his moonlit, snow-like skin, it tugged at the heartstrings even more.

The falling teardrop just happened to land on the Alpha’s hand, trembling slightly as it spread out.

Pei Guangji’s burning mind felt like it had been struck with a heavy blow, and his soul was shaken violently.

His state had originally been completely hazy and confused, controlled by his Alpha instincts. But now, a thread of clarity broke through.

However, he ignored the pulling pain caused by his hair being tugged, and he didn’t even notice Xin Hexue’s slightly abnormal cold expression from just moments before.

Xin Hexue let go and his hand fell limply.

Pei Guangji suppressed the violent tearing sensation along his nerve endings, propped himself up, and said to the assistant in the driver’s seat, “Return to the core zone…no, return to District One.”

To the public, the so-called core zone generally referred to District One. But for the truly wealthy families who had built their homes in the heart of the core zone, the “core zone” only referred to the central area within District One.

Simply put, District One and the real core zone were like concentric circles, with District One being the outer ring.

Pei Guangji subconsciously didn’t want to bring Xin Hexue back to the chaotic Pei family estate.

Because the time had not yet come, he still hadn’t dealt with that noisy old man and the messy crowd of lovers gathered around him. Returning to the estate would not only mean chaos but also that the old fossil would start interfering in his private life again.

Even though Pei Guangji had always treated Father Pei’s words as nonsense, he had to consider Xin Hexue’s feelings.

After all, the other party looked…

Too fragile.

So fragile he might break at a touch.

The aircraft ride was extremely smooth.

From the corner of his eye, Pei Guangji noticed Xin Hexue’s hand pressing against his lower back. “What’s wrong?”

“…I bumped into something.”

When Pei Guangji had lunged at him earlier, Xin Hexue had fallen and hit his lower back against the seat belt buckle.

There was no need to think about it, Xin Hexue was sure his lower back would be bruised black and blue when he woke up tomorrow.

The reactions from the rut period made it hard for Pei Guangji to stay rational, but they also made him more honest than usual. Looking at the young man’s sickly pale face, he apologized, “I’m sorry. I didn’t notice just now.”

His temples throbbed.

Pei Guangji urged the assistant, “Drive faster.”

He probably wouldn’t be able to remain clear-headed much longer.

The assistant: “Young Master, where in District One?”

Pei Guangji had several properties in District One.

But the one with the best environment was on the outskirts of District One, and it was also the closest. Pei Guangji said, “Go to the mountainside villa in South City.”

The assistant reminded him, “But…Second Young Master is attending Nancheng (South City) No. 1 High School and seems to be staying there.”

Pei Guangji hadn’t returned to the mountainside villa in a long time and had completely forgotten that he had lent that property to Pei Ying for convenience. “Tell him to rent a hotel for a few days, or stay at a classmate’s place. Worst case, give him the key to one of the other properties.”

The assistant still had more to say, but Pei Guangji had already turned on the aircraft’s internal soundproofing system.

Even at the speed of the aircraft, it still took an hour to travel from District Six to District One.

Xin Hexue was a Beta. His physical structure was completely identical to that of a young man in the normal world, and his sense of smell operated through the olfactory bulb in his brain.

He didn’t have the gland located at the back of the neck that only Alphas and Omegas possessed, so he lacked the ability to perceive the scent of pheromones.

So, he had no idea that the entire interior of the aircraft was filled with the rich patchouli scent brewed by Alpha pheromones, aggressively trying to invade him from every direction.

Pei Guangji’s voice was low and hoarse. “Can you let me hold you for a moment?”

Perhaps it was the sight of Xin Hexue crying just now that had shocked him so deeply, Pei Guangji had learned to treat others with a more polite attitude, as if subconsciously afraid of shattering the delicate porcelain in front of him.

Xin Hexue glanced at him leisurely and beckoned with a curl of his finger.

With his slow-witted Alpha brain, all Pei Guangji could do was obediently move closer.

“You can hold me,” Xin Hexue said. “Because I’m allowing it.”

He had noticed the abnormal state Pei Guangji was in at the moment.

Although Pei Guangji’s arrogant attitude was extremely annoying, the obedient, low-intelligence behavior he displayed now made up for some of it.

So, when the Alpha wrapped his arms around him, Xin Hexue didn’t resist.

The Beta young man had no pheromones, but there was a faint scent of green sandalwood on him, mixed with a slightly astringent herbal smell.

Processed through the olfactory bulb, the scent on Xin Hexue directly connected to the amygdala and hippocampus in Pei Guangji’s brain, the regions responsible for emotion and memory.

From the depths of his soul, Pei Guangji felt an unprecedented sense of calm, his mind sinking into the vast and gentle fragrance of sandalwood.

But that was far from enough. He craved more and more…

……

After school at Nancheng No. 1 High School, Pei Ying retrieved his communicator from his locker.

“…”

His brows furrowed, and his expression grew colder.

His elder brother’s assistant had texted him, telling him to rent a hotel room or stay at a classmate’s place for the next few days and shouldn’t return to the mountainside villa. If he needed help, he could also get the key to another property for him.

With only a workbook casually shoved into his backpack, he swung it easily onto his back.

Pei Ying’s relationship with Pei Guangji wasn’t particularly good, even though they were born of the same parents.

He was born seven years after Pei Guangji. According to the strict heir selection rules of the Pei family, the eldest son was considered the most genetically superior creation, destined to fully inherit the Pei family legacy.

Other than the eldest son, the remaining children were merely byproducts of their parents’ sexual impulses…defective goods.

In fact, during their upbringing, the Pei family would intentionally raise any child other than the firstborn to become spoiled and useless.

Pei Ying had been stripped of heir qualifications from birth. Upon reaching adulthood, he would be separated from the main family and given minimal compensation. Just like an illegitimate child, he wasn’t allowed to touch any property belonging to the Pei family.

Although the relationship between the brothers wasn’t particularly close, it wasn’t completely estranged either.

At the very least, Pei Ying was allowed to stay at a villa closer to Nancheng No. 1 High School.

It was raining in the evening.

Strong winds swept through the mountainside area, and the trees swayed wildly in the wind.

Pei Ying didn’t bring an umbrella, but fortunately, the school and villa were only a ten-minute bike ride apart.

Pei Guangji didn’t like people around him. He wasn’t short on money, so he never hired cheap hourly workers. Every villa under his name was equipped with a full smart home system and high-end robotic butlers.

Pei Ying stood outside the gate undergoing an iris scan. Heavy rain drenched his school uniform, the moisture clinging heavily to his body.

He brushed his soaked black bangs up to the top of his head with a scowl, his hand dripping with rainwater.

Fortunately, the assistant hadn’t removed his iris access yet.

His eyes narrowed like a wolf’s, sharp gaze tilted upward, locking onto the master bedroom on the second floor of the villa.

The floor-to-ceiling windows hadn’t been drawn shut, revealing the scene inside.

A broad-shouldered, tall Alpha stood with his back to him, holding someone in his arms.

Pei Ying had good eyesight, but the distance was too far. Plus, Pei Guangji was clearly a size bigger than the other person and a full head taller.

All he could see was a soft head of black hair peeking over Pei Guangji’s shoulder, and white ankles trembling slightly as they stepped on the top of Pei Guangji’s shoes.

Beautifully shaped hands, cold white skin with faint blue veins, fingers curled, clutching the fabric at the back of the black suit and wrinkling it into a tight bunch.

The smart home system quietly closed the curtains along the electric track.

Even with poor health, Xin Hexue was still a young man with normal anatomy and function.

The Alpha was clearly clueless and fumbling around. He was only capable of crazed kissing and hugging, even biting the back of his neck trying to inject pheromones.

Although Xin Hexue couldn’t escape from these actions, they were still within the tolerable range.

It was just that when the other person touched his back, the large hand covered in thin calluses kneaded too hard. His skin was delicate, and it hurt.

Xin Hexue clenched his teeth and endured.

Until Pei Guangji continued to move lower, and Xin Hexue’s thing was suddenly enveloped by a hot mouth.

“Ugh…!”

The young man couldn’t help but bite down on the knuckle of his right thumb.

He bit so hard it left teeth marks, just to avoid letting out a shamefully inappropriate sound.

His eyes burned.

His snow-colored body quickly flushed into a radiant pink from the inside out.

When the Alpha was grabbed by the hair and his scalp tugged, his jaw tightened instinctively.

“Ha…”

The young man’s slender white neck arched back into the curve of a dying swan, and tears from physical stimulation wet half his face.

Before he could even react, the Alpha’s Adam’s apple bobbed.

Xin Hexue only felt the indentation of his thing being swallowed halfway in.

He couldn’t help cursing and started to struggle.

The Alpha suddenly collapsed from his half-kneeling position with a loud thud.

K: [I knocked him out with electricity.]

[?] Xin Hexue asked, [You had that function? Why didn’t you use it earlier?]

K paused, then answered honestly: [You only told me you couldn’t have sex.]

Xin Hexue: […]

He couldn’t help but kick Pei Guangji to the floor and coldly commented, “Beast.”

He got off the bed with difficulty, legs weak from excessive pleasure.

His body was sticky, and his mysophobia flared. He felt very uncomfortable.

He went into the bathroom and washed himself thoroughly.

………

The robotic butler in the villa also had cooking functions.

While waiting in the kitchen, Xin Hexue got thirsty and went to the living room for a glass of water.

Pei Ying quietly descended from the third floor with light steps.

He could sense that the second floor was saturated with his older brother’s pheromones, wildly screaming to expel the unfamiliar Alpha.

The instinct between Alphas stirred Pei Ying’s own agitation and urge to fight.

But he held back. He stood high on the staircase and looked down at the young man in the living room.

The young man was wearing his brother’s shirt, his legs smooth and flexible, exposed to the open air.

A perfect body, every inch of cold white skin visible to the eye, was covered in scattered kiss marks left by the Alpha.

When the young man lowered his head, his soft black hair fell to the sides, revealing a thin patch of skin on the nape of his neck, flushed a deep red from the Alpha’s repeated biting and gnawing.
