The Heartthrob Protagonist Just Wants To Monopolize Me Chapter 8

Yu Ning was caught off guard and he was hugged by Ji Mingxia.

Ji Mingxia was slightly shorter than him, so he rushed out and pounced on him. His whole body was firmly pressed against him, and his face was buried in Yu Ning’s neck.

It was summer, and although the temperature had dropped considerably because of the rainstorm, everyone was still wearing short sleeves.

Yu Ning had a special physique, so his body temperature was low throughout the year, while Ji Mingxia’s body temperature was higher than usual because he was scared and had rushed out.

Ji Mingxia’s body was warm. His hair was washed last night, and it still carried the faint smell of shampoo.

The warmth of his body was transmitted through the thin fabric. Whether it was the sound of Ji Mingxia’s heartbeat or his breathing, it was all close at hand and so clear.

As far as Yu Ning could remember, everyone avoided him.

Not to mention such an intimate hug, even high-fives and handshakes that ordinary people encounter in their daily lives are rare experiences for Yu Ning.

Over time, Yu Ning had also gotten used to being alone and not having any physical contact.

Ji Mingxia’s hug was unexpected and he was shocked. His body went stiff and he was almost at a loss for words.

It took a while for Yu Ning to react, and he looked at Ji Mingxia in his arms and asked, “What are you doing?”

Yu Ning was then shocked to find that his voice was a little huskier than usual.

A hint of unnaturalness flashed across his face, which he quickly and desperately tried to conceal.

Ji Mingxia didn’t even notice Yu Ning’s reaction; he was almost scared to death by the image in the dormitory.

When he entered the dormitory and found it cooler than outside, Ji Mingxia had a bad feeling in his heart.

But he was so focused on Yu Ning at that time that he didn’t think much about it until he instinctively looked in the direction of his bed –

A woman was hanging above his bed.

The ceiling was covered in her hair, and the woman hung there. Her feet were wobbling around vacantly, and her greenish-white limbs were glowing with bizarre corpse spots. Her bones were unnaturally curved and folded in a way that defied the laws of human growth. She looked like a giant alien insect.

She was covered in dark red blood and it dripped down her legs.

The whole dormitory reeked of damp decay.

The woman seemed to know that Ji Mingxia had spotted her just as he raised his head.

With a few “clicks, clicks, clicks,” the woman’s neck bones moved stiffly, and she turned her head. Her eyes overflowed with blood, and she directly locked eyes with Ji Mingxia…

The woman’s head turned, her eyes overflowing with blood, and she locked eyes with Ji Mingxia.

Although he liked to read horror novels, he had never encountered a real *A Piao!

*Internet buzzword for a floating ghost.

Although he looked calm, Ji Mingxia was scared to death on the first night he came to this world and witnessed a ghost bed press.

Thanks to his current status as a senior in high school, he had to keep his mind on the plot as well as his studies.

The busy life instead dispelled the fear and forced Ji Mingxia to divert his attention.

Most importantly, Ji Mingxia knew the plot of the book, and he understood that the protagonist, Yu Ning, had a special physique that attracted the mysterious events.

And as a supporting character, he officially entered the plot two years later.

In other words, the various kinds of ghosts he was seeing, no matter how horrible, were all directed at Yu Ning, and not at him, Ji Mingxia.

Because of such a premise, Ji Mingxia was able to continue studying and sleeping peacefully despite knowing that the school was haunted.

But the scene today was completely unexpected, and it broke Ji Mingxia’s psychological defences!

Yu Ning was not there, and Ji Mingxia was the only one in the dormitory.

Not only did the ghost appear, but it was also hanging over his bed, and even had its sight aimed at him!!!

That ghost had come for him!

Ji Mingxia’s whole body was in a state of shock once he came to this realization. Seeing that the ghost hanging from the ceiling was about to climb down, he mustered up the last ounce of courage to open the dormitory door and rush out.

Fortunately, as soon as he reached the door, he saw Yu Ning.

Ji Mingxia was so moved that he cried. Without hesitation, he jumped on Yu Ning and hugged the golden thigh of the protagonist to save his life!

When he heard Yu Ning speak, Ji Mingxia reflexively thought that Yu Ning was angry.

After all, he had just said some harsh words to Yu Ning, asking him not to get the wrong idea and not to associate with him again.

As a result, he jumped over and hugged his leg in a spineless manner less than two minutes later.

If he were Yu Ning, he would be angry too!

Ji Mingxia didn’t care about the plot going off the rails and changing his fate anymore, and hurriedly admitted loudly, “Yes I am, yes I am. You guessed right; not only am I not afraid of you, I want to help you!”

Yu Ning didn’t expect Ji Mingxia to answer him like that and looked at him with slight surprise, “What are you talking about?”

Ji Mingxia lifted his head and looked at Yu Ning pitifully, saying, “I said the wrong thing before, I know I was wrong. Don’t be angry with me!”

Ji Mingxia’s eyes were slightly more moist than usual due to the shock, and the black and white eyes were now looking at Yu Ning up close.

Yu Ning could almost see the reflection of his figure in Ji Mingxia’s pupils.

He felt his heart pounding and beating irregularly in his chest.

The reaction startled Yu Ning himself. His heart was beating so fast, and Ji Mingxia was so close to him ……

Yu Ning turned his head sideways, not daring to look at Ji Mingxia as he patiently said, “Let go of me first.”

The ghost had scared Ji Mingxia so much that his arms and legs were weak, and he didn’t obey.

Ji Mingxia was startled on seeing Yu Ning turn his head away from him and say these words. Instead of letting go, he hugged the latter even tighter: “I am sincerely admitting my mistake! Yu Ning …… please have mercy and help me. I don’t want to die!”

He was extremely nervous and spoke quickly. Because he was holding Yu Ning, his breath fell on Yu Ning’s neck as he spoke.

Yu Ning only felt the heat at the nape of his neck, and his ears burst into flames, immediately turning red.

This time, no matter how much he restrained himself from hiding it, he couldn’t hide it anymore.

But at the same time, Yu Ning quickly discovered that Ji Mingxia’s mood was off.

He was panting, and the hands that were gripping him were trembling uncontrollably.

Yu Ning had never seen Ji Mingxia like this before. If he hadn’t been really frightened, Ji Mingxia, who had just rejected him, wouldn’t have given in so quickly and changed his words.

Yu Ning did not care about the abnormal emotions in his heart anymore and hurriedly said, “Ji Mingxia, are you alright? Don’t be anxious, calm down.”

Ji Mingxia gripped Yu Ning’s clothes tightly and looked at him nervously.

Yu Ning watched as a thin, cold sweat seeped out from his forehead and slowly said, “I’m not angry. You were just in the dormitory. Did you encounter something?”

Ji Mingxia said with a pale face, “There is a woman hanging over my bed.”

Yu Ning instantly understood.

Ji Mingxia was really like him, he could see ghosts.

Although he was curious about Ji Mingxia’s experience, Yu Ning forced down the questions in his heart and said in a low voice, “I know, I often see her too. Don’t be afraid, I’m here with you. “

Yu Ning waited for a moment, but Ji Mingxia’s limbs were still stiffly wrapped around him and he pursed his lips helplessly.

Eventually, Yu Ning freed one hand to gently pat Ji Mingxia’s back, moving in a rusty and soothing manner.

Yu Ning had watched TV commercials as a child, and this was how mothers and fathers would gently soothe their crying, scared babies.

As far as he could remember, he had never met his parents, and the people in the orphanage were afraid of him.

He had a special constitution and could see all sorts of magical and bizarre scenes from a young age.

When he was sad and scared, Yu Ning would imagine that relatives were soothing him and telling him not to be afraid, like the elders in the commercials.

Although no one had ever really done that to him, imagining did bring him a lot of strength and soothed his tense spirit.

At this moment, Ji Mingxia looked like a frightened little animal, and Yu Ning somehow recalled the images from the TV commercials.

No one had ever soothed him, but he could try to use this method to help Ji Mingxia.

Yu Ning stretched out his hand somewhat clumsily and gently patted Ji Mingxia on the back, but because he could not control his strength, he was sometimes light and sometimes heavy, and sometimes he even patted Ji Mingxia’s shoulder.

Under his patting, Ji Mingxia gradually calmed down.

Just then, the sound of students’ footsteps came from the corridor.

Although the senior students would not come back for their lunch break, the third and second-year resident students were likely to return to their dormitories at noon. Their dormitories were on higher floors l and they would often pass by Ji Mingxia’s floor on their way up.

After confirming that Ji Mingxia was gradually calming down and sensing someone approaching, Yu Ning stopped his movements and said to Ji Mingxia, “First let go of me.”

Ji Mingxia suddenly reacted and realized that he had been hugging Yu Ning so tightly for several minutes.

Although Yu Ning’s body was cold and quite comfortable, two men hugging in the summer ……

Moreover, he had the impression that Yu Ning, in the novel, was very averse to physical contact with others.

Ji Mingxia’s sanity gradually returned, and he quickly recovered his self-awareness as a supporting character.

He hurriedly let go of Yu Ning and took a step backwards, leaning his back against the dormitory door.

In the next instant, Ji Mingxia remembered the ghost in the dormitory and hurriedly changed his position again, facing the dormitory door warily.

Yu Ning took in Ji Mingxia’s reaction and said, “I’ll go in and take a look.”

Ji Mingxia quickly asked, “What about me?”

“Wait for me outside.” Yu Ning said. He waited for the students of grades one and two to all go upstairs before walking over to the dormitory door and opening it.

Ji Mingxia watched as Yu Ning opened the door and walked in alone.

At the moment when he was about to close the door, Ji Mingxia finally gritted his teeth and quickly stepped forward, following Yu Ning and entering the dormitory with him.

The previous two times Yu Ning had met the ghost, he was able to break away only with his help.

Yu Ning’s current force value was still very low. At most, he had a protagonist’s halo to ensure that he would not die.

If Yu Ning had encountered the ghost by himself, Ji Mingxia might have hesitated, but Yu Ning had entered the dormitory because of him. He could not let Yu Ning face the danger alone.

Of course, as soon as he entered the dormitory, Ji Mingxia very uncouthly pulled on the corner of Yu Ning’s coat, deeply afraid of getting separated from the protagonist and being nipped to death by the ghost boss.

Yu Ning did not expect Ji Mingxia to follow him in even though he was so scared.

He shielded Ji Mingxia behind him and looked up in the direction of Ji Mingxia’s bed.
