The Only Normal Human In The Universe Extra 1

A note before reading this chapter. So, I don’t know whether it was the author’s intention or a mistake with the website am using, but this chapter is like a summary of the beginning chapters of this book. You may skip it if you wish.

If someone read the mtl or raws somewhere and it wasn’t like this, please give me a heads up. Thank you!!

It wasn’t that An Yan thought he could pass the entrance exam for the pharmacy major at Central Star First College at his current level, but the entrance exam was on making potions.

When he remembered how he felt when his spiritual power directly touched the potion, An Yan couldn’t help but shiver, not to mention making the potion with his own hands.

But since he had already decided to live on in place of human An Yan and didn’t want to worry his mother, An Yan had to take the entrance exam on time, even if he had a great resistance to making potions.

If he really couldn’t adapt to it, he could just choose to give up. Anyway, even if he gave his best effort, he would definitely not be able to pass the entrance exam.

With this thought, An Yan’s mood was much lighter: “Yes, I will definitely try my best.”

An Mu was very aware of her son’s academic performance. She was already relieved by her son’s new attitude to his studies. So, she would not put too much pressure on him academically.

On the other hand, all the potions he had tested and labelled were put on the shelf, including the body potion that had quietly changed.

But no matter how much the potion changed, its data still showed the results of the previous tests.

It was an E grade body potion, with moderate effectiveness and minor side effects. It was an average potion, not even close to quality.

So this potion was bought three days after it hit the shelves, by a young girl who was about to take the entrance exam for the Higher Education Academy, named Qu Xinxin.

Qu Xinxin bought this body potion for the entrance exam two days later.

Her animal features manifested themselves in her eyes. She didn’t have normal human pupils but rather the light brown vertical pupils of animals.

On a normal day, this would be fine. After all, everyone carried different animal traits, and others would not say anything if they saw them.

But Qu Xinxin did not want to take the entrance exams for the First College in this form. They were of vital importance to her, and she wanted to take the exams with a full human appearance.

The information on the potion stated that it was effective for 24 hours and that the side effects were ten minutes of dullness and dizziness, which suited her perfectly.

In less than half an hour after the purchase, the potion was delivered to Qu Xinxin’s home.

This was not the first time that Qu Xin had purchased a potion, nor the first time she received it. She immediately put it into the testing machine.

If the effects or side effects of the potion do not match the information provided, Qu Xinxin can file a complaint and receive compensation.

If the complaint is proven to be true, it will have a significant impact on the shop that sold the potion and will become a permanent black mark. That’s why shops would never dare tamper with such matters.

So Qu Xin was just going through the motions when she put this body potion into the testing machine. She did not expect that the final test result would be worlds apart from the shop’s information description.

And this huge difference was, surprisingly, not a negative one, but a completely positive one!

“Duration of effectiveness: ten days. Side effects: one minute of mild weakness. Shit! My testing machine must be broken! ” This was Qu Xinxin’s first reaction.

She thumped her way to her father’s room and picked up two recently purchased Spiritual Recovery Potions, and then thumped her way back to her room and put them into the testing instrument.

The results came back quickly, and the data displayed matched the information descriptions of both potions exactly.

She put the potion she had just bought into the machine twice, and the results both times were the same as the first.

“So it’s not the testing machine that was wrong, but this potion?” Qu Xinxin’s eyes fell on the body potion that didn’t look any different from the ordinary potion.

She had purchased the rapid test device herself, but it could only test the final data without giving a specific analysis. Even if Qu Xinxin was in a hurry to get to the bottom of things, she could only wait for her father to return from work.

Her father works in a pharmaceutical company and would definitely be able to help her with her confusion.

When he finally got off work in the afternoon, Qu Xinxin immediately ran over to him and picked up his coat for him: “Dad, I bought a body potion today!”

Father Qu nodded lightly, “I know, didn’t I already give you the money for the potion? Did you not follow the requirements I told you and pick a substandard potion? ”

“No, no,” Qu Xin shook her head repeatedly, “I picked the potion according to the requirements you said. But when I had the potion tested, the results were completely different from the information on the instructions!”

Because her father was in this field, Qu Xinxin would inform him before she bought potions. She would also first tell him her requirements and then let the other party give her advice to find the best value for money.

Father Qu raised his eyebrows, “Was it a substandard potion?”

“It was not substandard, it’s too standard!” Qu Xinxin hurriedly showed the test results to her father, “The test results that came up were way better than the information in the description that came with the potion, and the results were the same even after several tries. Is there a problem with this potion? ”

Father Qu glanced at the test results and his eyes widened: “According to this test result, this potion should be a B grade, right? No! Even if it’s a B-grade potion, the side effects can’t be only for a minute and just a slight weakness. ”

Although there are strict requirements for different grade ratings, there is one thing that must be acknowledged. As the effectiveness of potions increases, the side effects will inevitably keep getting worse.

Pharmacists can only minimize the side effects to a certain extent, but it is impossible to cross the grade limits and reduce the side effects of a high level potion to those of a low level one.

For example, the side effects of F-grade potions are often physical weakness and dizziness, but when they reach B-grade, they are often numbness, headaches, and even mental confusion.

Even if a pharmacist’s spiritual power is as gentle and tolerant as it is skilled, it is still impossible to make the side effects of a B-grade potion like those of an F-grade potion.

This is why the situation in the pharmaceutical industry is completely different from that of other types of potions, where the higher the grade, the more valuable and popular they are, and the more expensive they are.

However, the popular body potions are actually the lower level potions. The side effects of the higher level potions are so horrible that no one would be willing to suffer so much pain unless it was a last resort.

“That’s why I think there might be a problem with this potion,” Qu Xinxin said, but her tone was extraordinarily excited, “Dad, can you take this potion to your company for a detailed test to see what’s going on?”

Father Qu hesitated for a moment. The company’s rules don’t allow even employees of the company to take their personal potions to the company for testing.

But even with these rules, there were still some people who would occasionally do this. In addition, no one would specifically carry out checks, and even if they were caught, they wouldn’t be punished in any way. After a momentary hesitation, Father Qu still nodded. He was also curious about this potion. “Alright, but there won’t be a next time.”

Qu Xin immediately cheered up, “I knew Daddy was the best.”

“But how come you didn’t contact the shop to directly ask why?” Father Qu turned to ask.

Qu Xin scratched her head with an unnatural expression, “I was afraid that they would just take the potion back after I explained the situation.”

Qu Xin was thinking that since the information description of the potion was incorrect, it also meant that the shop did not know the real situation of the potion.

If she told them the situation, the shop would offer to recall the potion, and then she would have no chance to find out what was really going on with the potion.

Qu Xin’s current plan was to let her dad help her find out about the potion, and if there was nothing wrong with the potion’s test results, she would discuss with the shop if she could pay more herself.

In fact, if she didn’t say anything about this matter, the shop wouldn’t know the truth, let alone take any measures.

Even when the test results of the potion do not match the information on the description and the discrepancy is positive , she would only get compensation.

However, she did not want to conceal such an important matter from the shop. She still wished to have the potion in her name.

She knew that it could be called a high quality product, and with the preciousness of high quality potions, there would be many people rushing to buy it if it was put on the market.

High quality potions were so valuable because they had very few side effects, while the effectiveness of the potions was very high.

Father Qu smiled and said, “You can’t keep quiet about it either.”

“Then we should at least find out what’s going on with this potion,” Qu Xin shyly changed the subject, “Dad should be curious too, right?”

Father Qu said frankly, “I do want to know what’s going on with this potion.”

“Alright, bring me the potion. I’ll have it tested when I go to the company tomorrow.”

With great anticipation, Qu Xinxin gave her father the potion. She even got up early the next morning to make a simple breakfast and earnestly urged him to come back early.

However, she waited for the whole day and ended up getting bad news.

……….”

If you still don’t believe me, just wait and see. The exams will be over soon anyway.”

The invigilator then nodded in disbelief, and made a point of remembering Zhao Xinxin as a student.

While the two invigilators were discussing this topic, An Yan on the other side had already started moving.

He had no previous experience in making potions, so he relied on the theoretical knowledge he had read before. He was extremely careful in every step of the process, fearing that he might make a mistake.

The first step is to put the ingredients into the mortar and slowly grind them to blend them.

Step two is to remove the spiritual power from the storage bottle, and the pharmacist uses his spiritual power to press it into the already thoroughly blended ingredients and begin the fusion.

Step three: when the fusion is complete, pour in the concoction so that it condenses into a potion.

In the fourth step, the residue is filtered out to form the final potion before it is sealed.

These four steps seemed too simple, but An Yan was a bit confused when doing them.

The first step was nothing to worry about and could be completed with a little effort.

But when it came to the second step, An Yan was very confused about how to use his mental power to add the potion’s spiritual power to the mixed ingredients and how to fuse them. He had no idea how to do it.

But he couldn’t just stand there and do nothing. The blended ingredients had to be fused with the potion spirit power as soon as possible, otherwise it would become ineffective.

With no choice but to rely on his meagre theoretical knowledge, An Yan could only embark on his second step of action.

He slowly poked his spiritual energy out and reached for a storage bottle. He opened the lid of the storage bottle and wrapped the hamster’s spiritual energy inside his own energy.

There was a reason as to why he used his spiritual energy.

An Yan is a hamster spirit that has been cultivated for thousands of years. Although he had never been able to successfully transform, the amount of spiritual energy stored in his body could not be underestimated.

When he crossed over, this spiritual energy came with him, but for some reason, the spiritual energy that was originally spread all over his body had all condensed into the depths of his brain.

However, he has only been concerned with adapting to his new identity and environment, and he didn’t pay much attention to it. It was only after he had recently studied a lot of information that he learned of a magical substance called spiritual/mental power that existed deep inside the human brain.

Although An Yan didn’t understand why his spiritual energy would run into the place where humans store their spiritual power, he didn’t think much of it given that it had little effect on him.

It was only when he actually used it at this moment that An Yan became slightly worried. He wondered if his spiritual power had the ability to make potions or not.

After wrapping up the hamster spirit power with his spirit power, An Yan carefully moved it into the mortar and was thinking about what to do next when he saw that the potion ingredients had already spontaneously reacted with the hamster spirit power.

According to the theoretical knowledge he had found, the next fusion should be the most crucial and difficult step. It was also the most difficult hurdle for the pharmacist. Only if the spiritual power is strong enough as well as fully inclusive, could the ingredients and the potion’s spiritual power be smoothly fused.

But the situation at hand was that An Yan had done nothing, and the two substances had already fused together spontaneously, producing a light green mist in the process.

The only thing An Yan had to do was to use his spiritual energy to tightly wrap the two fusing substances, as well as the new substance they produced after fusing, to prevent them from accidentally leaking out.

The whole fusion process only took about five minutes to complete. Once he was sure that the two had completely fused, he immediately took the concoction carefully and slowly poured it into the mortar.

Soon, the light green mist gradually transformed into a liquid under the effect of the coagulant/concoction and sank to the bottom of the mortar.ThusThe

first three steps were successfully completed.

The next step of filtering was not difficult at all. In just two minutes, An Yan poured the filtered potion into the potion bottle and sealed it carefully.

Everything went smoothly, but An Yan was doubtful about whether what he had made was a qualified body potion or not.

He wasn’t even sure if what he had made was a potion or not.

Although his steps were based on theoretical knowledge, the real situation was completely different from what he had read, so An Yan was very unsure.

But no matter what, he did his best. He didn’t think he would be able to pass it from the beginning anyway.

After putting the potion bottle away, An Yan looked up at the time and realised that there was still more than half an hour before the end of the exam. So he thought for a moment and slowly reached his hand towards the red apple in the material box.

He had chosen all the things he liked to eat, but had forgotten that he was now in human form, and that humans would not eat raw green leaves directly, nor would they eat raw millet.

So, although there was quite a lot of good food in front of him, he could only get high on melon seeds and nibble on the apple. As for the rest, he could only look, but could not eat.

If only he could take the unused materials with him after the exam. Unfortunately, the pre-exam briefing had made it clear that any items provided by the college that were used in the exam were not allowed to be taken away from the exam hall.

If only he could secretly turn back into a hamster and eat all these delicacies. However, even if he could turn back into a hamster now, he wouldn’t dare to do so under the current all-round surveillance.

While rambling on in his thoughts, An Yan habitually nibbled on an apple.

The invigilator had accidentally switched to this scene as he moved through the images, and once again shook his head heavily. It’s not enough that this candidate didn’t prepare carefully, but he even ate in the examination room. He was really too ignorant.

After shaking his head, the invigilator directly crossed An Yan’s camera out of his monitoring range. He didn’t want to look at this candidate any more.

An Yan, who was seriously munching on an apple, did not know that he was deeply disliked by one of the invigilators. After finishing a whole red apple, An Yan finished the rest of the melon seeds with great enthusiasm.

When he had finished all he could eat, An Yan looked at the time and was disappointed to find that only ten minutes had passed.

He had finished everything he could eat, but there was still so much time left. What should he do now?

An Yan’s eyes swept over the inedible food in front of him, and his big eyes suddenly lit up. He could experiment with inedible food!

Although it might be a little bit wasteful, these things were already here. Instead of staring at them in desire, he could do something interesting with them.

He took some of the ingredients he hadn’t used before and put them into a mortar that had been cleaned automatically. He put in a small leaf of green cabbage and ten grains of millet and began to grind them slowly.

If the invigilator had seen this scene, he would probably have vomited blood.

How dare you mix food and potion ingredients together.

However, An Yan did this with extra seriousness as he slightly pursed his lips and very carefully ground the contents of the mortar over and over again.

After making sure that the contents had sufficiently blended, he reached over and took the other storage bottle that held the hamster’s spiritual power.

The academy had thoughtfully prepared sufficient materials and potions of spiritual energy in order to prevent candidates from failing the exam because of mishandling materials.

An Yan carefully wrapped his spiritual power around the hamster spirit power and slowly placed them into the mortar. To his surprise, the hamster spirit power instantly became active as soon as it came into contact with the substance in the mortar. It scared him so much that he hurriedly tightened his spirit power, which prevented the hamster spirit power from jumping out.

The fusion of the blended materials with the potion’s spiritual energy slowed down. An Yan even used his spiritual energy to poke at the substance in the mortar to make the fusion go on smoothly.

A timer rang out in the examination hall when the fusion was finally completed.

[There are five minutes left until the end of the test. Please hurry up and finish submitting your potions.]

An Yan breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly poured in the concoction, quickly finishing the filtering work and bottling the potion.

An Yan blinked

unexpectedly as he looked at the potion bottle in his hand. The potion he had produced this time was, surprisingly, not light green, but light yellow.

So, did his attempt fail?

An Mu returned home at around 6:30 pm. As soon as she entered the door, she saw her son greet her with great enthusiasm and help her pick up the things in her hand.

You’re back, Mom.” An Yan said with a smile, looking very well-behaved.

An Mu arrived home at around 6:30 p.m. As soon as she entered, her son greeted her with particular enthusiasm, helping her pick up the things in her hands.

“You’re back, mom.” An Yan spoke with a smile, looking well-behaved.

The fatigue of a tiring day was instantly dissipated with this smile. An Mu nodded with a smile and said, “Yan Yan must be hungry, right? I’ll go fry up some vegetables to eat. If you’re hungry, drink some nutrients first. ”

In order to celebrate An Yan’s admission to the Capital Star First College and his first place, the An family’s food has gotten a lot better in the past few days. An Mu would often fry up some vegetables or bring back an egg or two to boil and eat.

An Yan put her things away and hastily took his mother’s arm, “Mom, don’t rush. I have something to tell you. ”

An My was pulled to sit down on the sofa, and she asked with a smile, “What is it?”

An Yan first brought over the sets of clothes he had bought for her earlier. “I went out shopping this afternoon and bought a few sets of clothes for mom. You should try them on and see if they fit. ”

An Mu was stunned for a moment, and then complained with a smile on her face, “You’re really a kid. You just got the reward and you’re spending it carelessly. Mom has enough clothes to wear now. Why are you buying so many?”

An My refused to take any of his first place reward and it remained with An Yan. So she assumed that An Yan was spending this money.

An Yan didn’t explain, but only urged, “The clothes are already bought, so hurry up and try them on.”

An Mu had to take several bags of clothes into her room and try them on one by one.

Although she said she didn’t want to, the smile on her face was obviously much thicker after she changed into her new clothes.

Perhaps because she had worn such expensive clothes, An Mu put them on and felt that they weren’t suitable for her: “The fabric of this outfit is also too delicate, and the colours are too bright. Isn’t it unsuitable for mom? ”

An Yan kept praising her. “Not at all. Look at the pattern on the collar; it also makes your skin look very rosy. ”

After years of hard work and living on a shoestring, An Mu’s face had light wrinkles and her skin had a dull hue.

It was something she knew all too well, but she couldn’t help but smile when she heard her son’s praise.

An Mu’s face was really a little rosy as she tried on the clothes, but she was instantly distressed when she thought of their price: “Yan Yan, don’t buy me any more clothes next time. I really have enough clothes.”

An Yan didn’t take this comment and immediately got up to take out the set of cosmetics he bought, “Mom, when I went shopping at the cosmetics shop today, I saw that they had these new cosmetics. It is said to be very effective and doesn’t have any side effects on the body, so I bought it for you.”

Although the set of cosmetics was small, the price was not cheap at all. It cost An Yan more than 10,000 star coins.

But he didn’t feel any pain at all when he thought it was for his mother.

An Yan didn’t feel any pain, but his mother was very distressed when she saw it: “It’s okay that you bought me clothes, but why did you buy this? Not only is it expensive, but mum doesn’t need it either!”

An Mu said, while looking at the label on the cosmetics. She was so distressed when she saw the price of this set of cosmetics that she nearly fainted: “No, no, you have to return this set of cosmetics quickly!”

“Mom ……” An Yan trailed off and called out to An Mu, diverting her attention before he added, “I know mom is worried, but I really have money now and I wanted to buy something for mom with the money I earned. Isn’t that fine? ”

An Mu certainly understood An Yan’s intentions, but she was heartbroken at the thought that almost all of her son’s reward money had been spent on her.

“Yan Yan, mom knows what you mean, but……” An Mu softened her tone, but she still couldn’t accept that the 30,000 star coins of reward money had all been spent on her and so quickly.

An Yan softly interrupted An Mu. His fingertips gently brushed the corner of An Mu’s eyes: “Mom, you are just forty years old this year, but your face is already wrinkled. I know it’s all because of me, because of this family. I can’t bear all the hardships you suffered in the past, but at least from now on, I hope I can protect you so you don’t have to suffer any more.”

It was the first time An Mu had ever heard her son say such words, and for a moment, she felt her heart swell with emotion.

She took a deep breath and said, in a trembling voice, “Yan Yan, to have such a heart, mom is already very satisfied, but these cosmetics ……”

An Yan saw that An Mu still hadn’t changed her attitude, so he had to bring out the hammer.

He coughed dryly and said with a serious expression, “Mom, in fact, besides the clothes and cosmetics, I also bought other things.”

“What else did you buy?” An Mu’s expression changed. This child couldn’t have really spent all the 30,000 star coins, could he?

An Yan stood up under An Mu’s glare, then pushed out a large package from the corner.

“This….what is this?” She could tell that what was inside must not be small from the size of the package. An Mu guessed it cost a lot of money, and she was practically heartbroken!

An Yan didn’t answer directly but pushed the package in front of An Mu, “Mom, you open it.”

An Mu looked at An Yan again, then slowly unwrapped the package with trembling hands and saw a small robot inside facing her.

This time, An Mu was really going to faint. Her son had even bought a household robot!

Wait a minute! It didn’t seem right!

Even the most ordinary household robots cost at least 20,000 to 30,000 star coins to buy. The clothes and cosmetics that her son bought for her were close to 20,000 star coins, so how could he still have money to buy a robot?

An Mu scrambled to find the informational description of the household robot. She only felt her eyes go black while her mind went blank when she saw the price.

168888 star coins! The cost of this home robot was actually over 160,000!Fearing thatAn Mu would faint from anxiety, An Yan hurriedly assisted her to sit down and said in a low voice, “Mom, I really have money now, so you don’t have to worry so much.”

An Mu sat there for a while before barely regaining her ability to think. She feebly turned her head and asked, “Where did you get the money for the home robot?”

“Ah… I had nothing to do today, so I went to the virtual mall to buy some potion ingredients and tried to make a body potion, ” An Yan deliberately slowed down his tone of voice and speech to avoid frightening An Mu. “I didn’t expect the quality of the body potion to be surprisingly good. So I sold the potion and made the money.

An Mu, thinking of her son’s first place in the entrance examination, accepted this matter without much difficulty. She slowed down and asked, “Then how much did you sell your potion for?”

An Yan had planned to tell the truth directly, but looking at his mother’s reaction just now, he was afraid that she would not be able to bear it. He could only say vaguely, “Mmm…… it sold for quite a lot of money.”

“How much is quite a lot of money?” An Mu asked.

Although An Yan was now acting particularly well-behaved and understanding, he was still only eighteen years old. In addition to all the things the original owner had already done, it was still inevitable that An Mu would sometimes have concerns.

Especially now, when An Yan has suddenly earned so much money and bought so many things. She naturally had to get to the bottom of it.

This time, An Yan had to tell the truth: “It sold for ten million.”

“Ten million is not…… what?! Ten million?!” An Mu’s expression was cracking as she looked at An Yan, dumbfounded, “Yan Yan, you’re joking with mum, right!”

A potion to be sold for ten million? How is that possible?!”

An Yan shook his head in a particularly innocent manner, “It’s indeed ten million. Look for yourself if you don’t believe me, mom.”

An Yan turned on his light brain and presented his account balance to An Mu.

An Mu stared at the numbers on it and counted them over and over again, but she still couldn’t believe her eyes no matter what.

” I bought some things earlier and so that’s why the balance doesn’t reflect ten million,” An Yan explained thoughtfully, “but if you add the money spent, it will definitely be right.”

At the twentieth count, An Mu was finally forced to admit that her son’s claim was indeed true. He had indeed made ten million from selling a potion, but the question was…”

“Yan Yan, you weren’t cheated by someone, were you?” An Mu’s expression was extremely complicated.

It sounded a bit awkward. After all, An Yan had already got the 10 million. Even if someone was really cheated, then it would be the one who bought the potion.

An Yan obviously misunderstood An Mu and shook his head, “It won’t happen. Selling a high-quality body potion at 10 million is fair. I specifically checked the virtual internet before. ”

He did not dare tell An Mu about the buy one, get one free deal.

“High quality potion?! You made a high quality body potion?!” An Mu was once again taken aback. Her son had actually produced a high-quality body potion? And he sold it for 10 million?!

An Yan nodded, “Yes, if it wasn’t a high quality body potion, it certainly wouldn’t have sold for such a high price.”

An Mu opened her mouth and slowly closed it again.

She felt that she had a lot to say, but she didn’t know what to say once she opened her mouth.

Today’s happenings had hit her so hard that she felt so confused. She didn’t even know how to express her feelings now.

An Mu waved her hand at An Yan, ready to go first back to her room to digest the information when An Yan asked worriedly, “Mum, what’s wrong with you?”

“I’m fine. I just want to go to my room for a while first.” An Mu felt her voice drifting.

“But I haven’t talked to you about buying a new house.” And there’s all that fruit that you haven’t had a chance to try either.

Hearing these words, An Mu felt like her whole body was floating. She cleared her throat and said, as calmly as she could, “Let’s talk about this matter when I come out.”
