TROTLG Chapter 191

Republic of China: Arc 9.16
This is a chapter from the novel The Return of The Lord God[quick wear]

Liao Sufan’s mind buzzed and he felt a huge force squeezing him, causing him to almost lose consciousness.

Liao Sufan blinked and asked drowsily, “Promise you what?”

When he said this, it was clear that he had opened his mouth, but it felt as if it was a voice from a thousand miles away.

Fang Xuelin had already stood up from the sofa, and he slowly walked over to Liao Sufan. He crouched down in front of him and tilted his head to look up at Liao Sufan’s somewhat dazed face with a loving and obsessive gaze.

His eyes were filled with fascination, and his hands slid up Liao Sufan’s trouser legs to the two hands folded on his chest: “Lord Liao, I have had a crush on you ever since I saw you four years ago. Lord Liao, I love you so much. Will you love me too?”

From afar, an unclear voice drifted into his ears as well as his buzzing brain.

Liao Sufan closed his eyes and tried to push Fang Xuelin away, but he found that he could not move his body at all.

Suddenly, the place that had been smeared with Bai Lixin’s blood dots yesterday became hot, and a sharp voice in his mind pierced through the countless murmurs and came straight at him: “Tai Shangtai star, constantly changing, expel evil and bind the charm; protect life and protect the body; wisdom and purity; peace of mind; three souls permanent; no loss of spirit. Urgent as a command, silence! ”

Bai Lixin’s voice came from afar, shattering all the power that had just oppressed him.

Liao Sufan opened his eyes in a flash and kicked Fang Xuelin, who was kneeling in front of him, away and said angrily, “How dare you!”

Fang Xuelin watched in disbelief as Liao Sufan broke free of his charm. Then he saw Liao Sufan shouting to the outside, “Where are the guards?”

In a short moment, a dozen well-trained soldiers burst into the hall and surrounded him.

Liao Sufan’s eyes were wide with anger, and he pointed his finger at Feng Xuelin from above, the dislike and disgust in his eyes evident: “This man intended to assassinate this governor. His crime is unforgivable! Drag him out, beat him with forty strokes of the cane, and then put him in jail!”

The guards did not dare to delay. Two immediately dragged Fang Xuelin out of the governor’s house and served him with sticks on the side of the road where people were coming and going.

“Pah!” A sound of a wooden stick hitting his skin came from behind him, and Fang Xuelin immediately felt an unbearable pain coming from his buttocks.

One after another fell, and his body trembled violently from the pain in his buttocks. His head was buzzing, his face was sweating coldly, and he kept crying out.

Why?

Why did you hit me?

Why did you do this to me?

I love you. Why do you trample on my love like this?

Tears wrapped in saliva dripped down his chin as he looked at Liao Sufan, who was looking coldly. He shouted, “Lord Liao, I really love you. Why are you doing this to me? I love you! ”

Liao Sufan frowned and said to a guard beside him, “Slap his mouth shut!”

Fang Xuelin looked incredulously at the guard who approached him and cried out, “I didn’t want to assassinate you; I really love you! Please believe me! ”

The guard’s mouth deflated in disdain at Fang Xuelin’s obsessive appearance. A mere gambling clogger feels he is entitled to our Lord’s love.

The guard mercilessly slapped Fang Xuelin hard in the mouth, knocking his face to the side.

It was followed by a second and a third slap.

Fang Xuelin’s face was burning with pain, and he glared at the man who had slapped him with hatred, shouting angrily, “What kind of look is that? Don’t look at me like that! Don’t look at me like that!!!”

The guard ignored him and continued to slap him hard across the face.

The pain came from his face and buttocks at the same time and ran through his whole body.

But the physical pain was secondary to the feeling of having his dignity trampled on. It stung deeply in Fang Xuelin’s soul.

There were more and more pedestrians gathering around to watch the beating. They pointed and stared with curiosity and contempt in their eyes.

“A big man dares to shout love at Lord Liao; he deserves to be beaten.”

“Yeah, he dares to think he deserves to be loved by Lord Liao. He’s crazy.”

“Lord Liao felt ashamed, so naturally, he had to beat him up to take it out.”

“What a disgrace! What a disgrace! ”

The forty lashes were soon finished, and Liao Sufan looked at Fang Xuelin, who was beaten to the point that he was no longer strong enough to shout, and shook off his hand, “Put him in a separate cell. I forbid anyone to communicate with him except for giving him three meals a day. ”

The guards responded, and dragged the unconscious Fang Xuelin away.

Liao Sufan looked down at the hand that had been touched by Fang Xuelin and recalled the butler’s strange appearance. He felt a pang of fear in his heart. If Wen Xuyao’s voice hadn’t suddenly entered his mind, he would have become Feng Xuelin’s puppet-like the housekeeper!

He first destroyed the Wen family’s relics and hurt them, and now he is using such evil techniques to play with people’s hearts! He is really an abomination, not worthy of death!

After sending Fang Xuelin away, Liao Sufan returned to his room and thoroughly washed his hands more than ten times before he stopped.

What had been a good plan had been disrupted by Feng Xuelin.

It’s already a bit dark. I wonder if the Wen family is already having dinner.

Liao Sufan sighed. He was still a bit concerned about the Daoist incantation that suddenly appeared in his mind. Was it an illusion or was it Wen Xuyao helping him from across the sky?

If it was Wen Xuyao helping him, then he must have also seen the scene of him being molested by Fang Xuelin.

‘God forbid ……’ Liao Sufan covered his face. How could he explain this to Wen Xuyao? And would Wen Xuyao listen to his explanation?

Liao Sufan felt a splitting headache when he thought about this, and his disgust for Fang Xuelin deepened by a few points.

Whether or not Wen Xuyao assisted him, he could not have escaped the danger without him, so he owed him proper thanks.

Liao Sufan finally made up his mind. There was no use in running away; he still had to go to the Wen family home no matter what.

Knowing that Master Wen liked paintings and calligraphy, Liao Sufan chose an ink painting of pine and bamboo and wrapped it up carefully before taking it with him.

When he arrived at the Wen family home, Bai Lixin and Elder Wen were having dinner.

Elder Wen did not have a good face when he saw Liao Sufan, but Bai Lixin smiled.

“I say, Lord Liao, did you know that our family was having stewed meat today and deliberately came to rub it in, right?” Bai Lixin smiled as he stood up and naturally extended his hand to Liao Sufan, “Lord Liao, have you eaten? How about a piece? ”

Liao Sufan looked at Elder Wen and then at Bai Lixin, somewhat overwhelmed.

No matter how capable he was outside, at the Governor’s residence, or the police station, once he arrived at the Wen family, he felt that his momentum had all but disappeared, and he had no standing at all.

Liao Sufan smiled awkwardly and raised the painting and calligraphy in his hands: “Master Wen, I am sorry for visiting you at this hour. I have come to apologise to you. My ignorance led to the incident at the police station that day. I know you have grievances in your heart. I am very sorry.”

Master Wen rolled his eyes and continued to eat with his head down.

Liao Sufan was a little embarrassed but still stood there honestly like a kitten.

Bai Lixin secretly laughed in his heart and coughed, “Rather, Lord Liao has shown his sincerity, Wenbo, what are you still standing there for? Take it.”

After letting Wenbo take the painting, Bai Lixin patted the chair next to him and said with a smile, “Today you will be blessed with a good meal, Lord Liao. I was in charge of the cooking today. Don’t you want to try my cooking? ”

Liao Sufan looked at Bai Lixin and then at the silent Elder Wen, and bowed his hands in Elder Wen’s direction respectfully, “Elder Wen does not speak, the junior does not dare to do so.”

Hahahaha!

Bai Lixin laughed out loud in his heart. When had Dijia ever suffered this kind of condescension?

Elder Wen coldly snorted, “Since Xian Zhi let you sit, you go ahead.”

Liao Sufan’s eyes lit up and he smiled, “Thank you, Master Wen.”

The servants added another set of bowls and chopsticks, and Bai Lixin smiled as he looked at Liao Sufan, who was eating with gusto, before he began to eat again.

The Wen family is a scholarly family, and they have always been concerned about etiquette and morality.

Master Wen ate a little and soon got up from the table before going back to his study.

Only after seeing Elder Wen leave did Bai Lixin look at Liao Sufan with a smile and ask, “What painting did you give to my grandfather?”

Liao Sufan thought for a moment and replied, “It’s a bamboo pine painting by Master Zu Xian of the Yuan Dynasty.”

Bai Lixin nodded in satisfaction, “Good, good. My grandfather’s favorites are the plum, pine, and bamboo pines. He also likes the porcelain of the Song Dynasty and the Tang Sancai of the Tang Dynasty. It’s just that all of our family’s antiques broke overnight, and Grandpa was heartbroken. ”

Liao Sufan nodded repeatedly and took all this to heart.

Next time, he would pitch in to bring the old man some more antiques!

They finished their meal, and Bai Lixin invited him into his study.

On the way, they passed by Elder Wen’s study. The two had excellent ears, and through the door frame, they heard Elder Wen’s admiring voice coming from the study: “Wonderful, it’s a painting of a bamboo pine, wonderful.”

Bai Lixin and Liao Sufan looked at each other and smiled at each other in tacit agreement. They slowed their steps to gently pass by the old man’s study.

When they arrived at Bai Lixin’s study, Liao Sufan said, “Thank you so much for this afternoon.”

Bai Lixin understood what Liao Sufan was saying and smiled, “I didn’t expect Fang Xuelin to have such deep feelings for you. You had him given forty strokes and slapped in the mouth. He must hold a grudge against you. ”

“He has a heart as small as a pinhole, and always uses the utmost malice against the good intentions of others. So what if he holds a grudge or not? ” Liao Sufan looked at Bai Lixin and said softly, “It was really you who saved me from the muddle this afternoon.”

“Haha, I just gave a hand. It was just a heart purification mantra. It was an honor for me to help Lord Liao. ”

  1. Xin says:

These comments that said want to skip the arc bla bla bla but in the end appear in next chapter and plummeting everyone feeling because the comments want me to say :

Wow what an attention seeker 😂
If you dont like just skip the arc or don’t read the novel
Stop commenting with righteous comment because ml bla bla bla, for once stop become attention seeker and use your brain

    Even commenting mc s**t, wtf

  2. Trix says:

Lol, upon reading all the comments I was flabbergasted like can you be for real? For those people who is acting righteously saying ml shouldn’t be blamed are fucking ridiculous, intentional or unintentional murder is still a murder, and isn’t the ml supposed to listen to the og first before assuming things? Like I know bias exist but damn imagine ordering someone to be punished 20 times and admit that doing so can endanger a person life, and expect that person to hold no grudge. Lmao, I’m fucking done, I came here for the plot not for mc and ml to just be lovey dovey and have sex all the time, fucking animals who go into heat every now and then.

  3. Pie says:

Drink everytime someone : don’t do this, don’t do that, don’t feel this, don’t feel that. Virtual me is now full and burping.

  4. ParanoidKitten says:

For the first few chapters in this Arc, I too felt very uncomfortable with our ML.
The fact that ML unknowingly caused the death of the original body and his behavior to MC on their first meeting was indeed cruel.
But I continued reading for reasons.

    1. as others already stated, ML just happened to witness the original complaining to his best friend (the commissioner) and got angry at his claims about “gods and ghosts” in which he didn’t believe. Because he did have some “friendship” with the protagonist and was thus biased and without knowing the person, he directly gave out a punishment.
    2. ML didn’t know (and most probably, surely) and didn’t care about the original’s less than healthy body. He was aware that those 20 strokes were quite a harsh punishment even for healthy people, which he later admitted, but he couldn’t have anticipated that the original’s body was so weak, coupled with the bad Qi and lacking care (supplements, etc) which caused the original’s body to break down and die.
    3. The original’s wish wasn’t to get revenge on ML, but to keep his grandfather safe and healthy and to protect the Wen family.
    4. We all know, no matter the connection between the original and ML, the moment ML meets the transmigrated MC, they will recognize each other and fall in love, so while ML may be called guilty for giving out an exaggerated punishment for no reason, this has nothing to do with MC himself. Coupled with point 3, there’s not really a reason to hate ML even now, where he clearly tries to make up for his mistakes and tries to get close to MC. At least from my opinion.
    5. MC DID leave him hanging. Yes, he didn’t outright confront him, beat and scold him or even ignore him, but used a subtile method by letting ML discover his wrongdoings bit by bit and we all saw how ML came to acknowledge his faults and regretted them honestly while reflecting on what he did wrong and why he did so.
    6. This novel wasn’t, isn’t and until the end won’t be about MC deliberately punishing ML, it’s a novel about MC SAVING ML. He’s doing that to collect ML’s soul fragments, to support and help ML who otherwise would sooner or later just vanish.

A novel is written to bring the readers enjoyment. The very moment you find yourself unhappy with the development, characters or plot, is the same moment you should either skip the arc (in a QT/UF novel) or the novel itself, because if you’re not enjoying the novel, there’s no point in wasting your time to continue reading.
Of course I understand, there are people who just love to complain for the sake of complaining, and we do have a freedom of speech, as in everyone has the right to like or dislike certain things, but to deliberately destroy the enjoyment of other readers by permanently hating things you don’t like in each chapter? …. what’s the point?

If some people prefer a novel where the MC loves to mentally and physically torment his ML, I know of one novel “Everyone knows I’m a good person”. I also read it but became more and more uncomfortable with each arc, because personally I detest such plots, which is why I started to skip paragraphs, then chapters and in the end even whole arcs until in the end I just dropped the novel. Why? I didn’t like it. I rather spend my time switching to another novel which makes me happy while reading. Just like this novel.

That being said, dearest translator, thank you very much for your hard work! You did great!!

  5. Lmao I love the comment section in this chapter so much xD literally just stop yapping about how you dislike the arc, if you can’t stand it and want to complain might as well drop the novel and write a bad review for it instead of plummeting people’s mood, you’re free to express your opinions but there’s no need for the foul language such as calling a FICTIONAL CHARACTER a sl*t, the characters may not be perfect for you and thats understandable but there’s no need to go to such a far length to complain is it?

Also I have to say, a negative atmosphere in the comment section can really impact your reading experience so please do think before you’re sure of the words your using, and think of whats the point remaining here just to complain? For me I just left for a while and read another novel to get my mind off things but if you’re just overall uncomfortable with one of the main character then it’s better to abandon the whole novel cuz you’ll always have that impression of the character and it won’t make your read anymore enjoyable, you’re reading for entertainment not for academic purposes so there’s no need to continue reading so just move on, for me I needed a break from the comment section so I went yo read a slice of life novel.

10/10 wouldn’t recommend anyone to read, the start was promising but the characters just keep going downhill, mc acting stupid every 5 second and fanning the flame by acting green tea, ml who is sooo delulu but still the second best character who actually has morals, adoptive parents who are pretty cowardly and wouldn’t even stand up for their son in the face of blood sucking relatives, the real family thats pretty cr*ppy and biased af when their real son came back, ml’s parent who are creepy af and act like a common fl and ml of a mary sue novel, then the antagonist is also just super pitiful and stupid, at that point the whole novel was just sh!t beware if you see “After Running Away With A Cub, I Became Everyone’s Favorite” please don’t read it for your own mental health unless you feel like being an M. I could’ve spent time finishing GHG lol.

GHG or “I Became a God in a Horror Game” is an Infinite Flow very dope novel that I 100/10 recommend characters are so in depth and all, love the world setting too, the only regret is there isn’t enough translation but I have manage to read MTL until chapter 500+ (there’s a total of 589) chapters, its a slowburn that’s more focused on plot. Please read it I promise it won’t disappoint, you can go check for more info on novelupdate.com.

Some another novels are Mist [Unlimited], Little Mushroom (has a manhua), The Days I Clear Escape Games Pretending to be an NPC, The Snowstorm Awaits One’s Return Home all of these are infinite flow beside the second and last one, relevant information cam be checked on novelupdate.com.

For sweet novels you can give Long Aotian Transmigrated Into The Wrong Novel, The God of War Returns and Spices up Life with Marriage, It’s My Turn To Dominate and Ge’s Pregnant with the Major General’s Fish Cub (this one is mpreg) but most of these are more focused on the couple’s relationship and there’s also a balanced amount of plot, the third one is an e-sport novel, all novels I have mentioned has shou mc and loving ml no dog blood is involved except for some very angsty past, relevant information can be found on novelupdate.com.

Idk how my random rant evolved to novels recs lol. In case anyone want some I guess, I still got a lot more though if anyone wants specific ones though…

    1. ParanoidKitten says:

Hey hey, thanks for the recommendation. I’m always available for sickenly sweet novel without drama and idiot-MC’s that will give me diabetes from reading!
(If you have more, please don’t hesitate to tell me, I’m all ears!

    2. Yuezhi says:

What’s ur novelupdates.com account. I think our tastes are quite similar…. Me wanna compare and discuss novels 🌸😺

  6. RenTheWitch says:

Shouldnt they blindfold the rat? his eyes are the issue, cover them!

  7. Coconut nut nut says:

Why is this whiny bitches keep on crying over ML? Ml regretted it and has been doing something to apologize and make amends…
Also if Gramps can forgive him you bitches should shut up

  8. Haru says:

everyone’s so upset at ml for the original’s death, but he didn’t believe in the paranormal stuff before, and so probably wasn’t aware of the original’s weak body. i mean, we just saw fxl get 40 beatings and survive, so how would he expect 20 beatings to kill him? he apologized many times by now, acknowledging that his actions were wrong, and is also actively working to make it up to the wen family. not to mention the fact that the original’s grandfather believes that he has already passed on peacefully without resentment. we don’t even know exactly how it played out in the plot before mc arrived. for all we know, ml probably wasn’t aware in either life that his actions led to the original’s death. even if he was, it’s not like he’d be given an opportunity to make it up to them, considering that both he and his grandfather would already be dead, and ml might even have been controlled by fxl by that point, considering what happened just now

  9. Endofighter says:

I agree with the comments of stop dissing the MC due to what ML had done. This is ML’s SOUL FRAGMENT, he HAS to make sure ML falls in love with him before they can leave this world. Before MC arrives in this world ML is at the whims of the world. If MC abandons this soul fragment he is abandoning the ML completely. All those previous worlds, all those already collected soul fragments would have been for nothing, and would KILL HIS ML that he has already spent thousand and thousand of years with.

MC had already been warned that the memories of the world he received are not complete. He is following the overall will of the OG, save his grandfather and to get justice again FXL that actually led to his AND his grandfather’s death. OG could have survived, albeit barely, if FXL had not weakened more an already weakened body before the boarding. And, MC IS making ML suffer and repent in his own way since he can not abandon ML.

  10. Dise says:

I abide by the principle of “don’t like don’t read”

Just drop the novel or skip the arc if you don’t like it. Don’t keep reading and complain about it in the comment section of every chapter. You’re being a public nuisance to everyone.

If you don’t like the novel then give it a bad review in NU or smth. Stop b*tching about it in the comment sections. The translators who worked hard on this and other readers who just want to enjoy a peaceful read did nothing to deserve this.

To the person complaining about others writing complaints against the complaints, readers have the right to write apreciative comments as well. And in comparison, these only increase the positivity of the comment section. If by your logic, people can’t write complaints about the pollution going on in the comment section, the you all shouldn’t write complaints about the novel.

    1. Dise says:

I keep reading the comments despite my dislike towards complaints because I like it when there are postive comments. My desire to see postive comments outweighs my dislike for seeing complaining comments but it is still nowhere near enjoyable. Seeing the same people complain every chapter only sours the mood.

  11. Lame says:

Tsk tsk it’s not even that deep, u guys should just enjoy the novel, if u doesn’t like any particular part then just skip it bcs it’s based on preference anyway, and for those who say if someone doesn’t like to read a hate comment then skip it? No can do, not when you’re badmouthing mc so much in every chapter in this arc that it’s hard to ignore, the amount of disgusting things u said to mc is too much

  12. RiRi says:

    Lol the comments

  13. Manalus says:

wow, u guys make a pretty long comment, i think i have enjoyed it more than reading this arc

  14. Lann says:

i’ve never seen a comment section this beefy lol

  15. Jooh says:

Tbh I’m even surprised that people are complaining. This is fiction, your reality logic doesn’t work in these storylines. That’s why it’s fiction. Don’t project these scenarios into real life and judge the situation from the real life perception. Real worlds moral don’t work too.

If you are for real, you wouldn’t do these things in real life and say, “oh, certain fictional character did the same” THE FUCK?

I always tell those people who argue about a piece of fiction I’m reading and how it’s morally wrong, ahem, *yaoi* ahem *hentai*, ahem *tentacles*… Anyways, I always tell them that it’s fiction, logic doesn’t work.

So, if MC forgave ML quickly, it’s because their souls are bound and they are already in each other that morals doesn’t work for them. MC may play hard to get to make ML regret but that’s it, at the end of the day, he will still be fucked by him.

Y’all are pressed for things that doesn’t matter. Read this piece of article then continue with your real life, but don’t project these into RL. You’ll be hurt.

    That’s all.🧑‍🦯

    1. Felis says:

      +1
Everytime I feel angry towards a character, I’ll take a deep breath and keep repeating to myself that they’re fictional characters, and being so angry towards them just make myself suffer. So after that I’ll try to going forward and continue read the story. But if I really can’t accept it, then I’ll just drop the novel and then move on to look for a new one! (๑╹◡╹๑)b

  16. Lordzukoisbae says:

WHY ARE Y’ALL ARGUING IT’S NOT THAT DEEP JESUS CHRIST. Is this your first time in unlimited flow world-hopping soul switching-esque setting? It’s bound to be gray when it comes to morals and y’all are crying in the comments. Don’t make yourselves suffer and put SHALLOW comments how everyone here is dumb, how the author is dumb.

It’s the same thing all over again. He did so many things for the MC before and y’all were quiet and when he does something UNINTENTIONALLY y’all persecute him? Y’all are shallow for not understanding why the MC still loves his Gong. They’ve been through a LOT A LOT OF TIMES already. What arc is this anyway? He’s not a slut stfu. They’ve been together for MILLIONS OF YEARS ofc he will still choose him because he knows HOW THE ML REALLY IS.

I’m all for not forgiving him instantly. Making him reflect FINE. make him suffer a set back. ALSO FINE. but acting as if you know better in the comments is just dumb for me.

TAKE NOTES. This is just a fragment who happened to have this kind of world setting, equating the main person for a fragments doing in a particular setting is just DUMB for me. He made it clear he has no clue about what happens afterwards and just receive memories.

It sickens me that it only sparked outrage when the ML made ONE blindsided decision of hurting the “MC” . And you’re complaining why were complaining on the complaints causes it’s SHALLOW. He hadn’t wronged the MC in any arcs deliberately like this. It wasn’t as if he was a REPETITIVE OFFENDER like the toxic male leads in other stories.

Wipe that milk on your mouths before spouting nonsense it’s annoying. Enough with the “unintentional accomplice” BS as if y’all won’t feel the same way when given the same circumstances. I’m not excusing his actions, I’M RATIONALIZING THE SCENE FROM A READER’S PERSPECTIVE WHO KNOWS BETTER HOW THE STORY WORKED.

Get out if you can’t rationalize instead of PAINSTAKINGLY reading the oncoming chapters then complaining about the same shit again.

    1. Lordzukoisbae says:

      and have a nice day ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡‧₊˚

  17. carpiscilium says:

Those who say mc should take revenge, what is your expectation? Should mc kill the man he loves to avenge someone he doesn’t even know? Moreover, mc and ml were always unreasonably biased towards each other. There is nothing new. Mc has made it clear before that even if ml is a criminal, he will be on his side. It’s not true what ml did before, but it doesn’t make sense for you to enjoy their biased love until now and get angry now. (I’m not sure if I’m expressing myself correctly cuz English is not my first language, I hope I didn’t use a wrong word.)

  18. TWO says:

God, if y’all hate this arc so much just stop reading it. It’s getting annoying reading comments that are full of criticisms about this arc. I read the comments for the good vibes not the bad, kay? And seriously, no matter how much y’all call the ML a murderer, imo, he’s not. Maybe an unintentional accomplice but defo not a murderer. Fang xulin is the real murderer here. He was the root cause for OG’s death.

How was the ML supposed to know that 20 caning would kill OG? How was he supposed to know that OG had a weak body and wouldn’t be able to survive the caning? How was the ML supposed to know that OG wouldn’t be able to fully tend to his wounds, resulting in him eventually dying from his wounds due to the lack of treatment? Yall tell me, how was the ML supposed to know that? He’s not omnipotent. He may be a God, but in here, he is only a mere mortal. (And really, 20 caning as punishment is something someone with a healthy body is capable of handling. It was not delivered with the intention to kill. It was only a form of PUNISHMENT)

Fang xulin was the one who made the OG’s family fall into decline, resulting in his stepmother abandoning him and his grandfather. Without money, OG wasn’t able to find caretaker much less a doctor to help him. He also had to look out for his grandfather’s health which he priorities over his own health.

Blaming ML here is like blaming someone who punched another resulting in the person’s death even though the person had a history of medical issues which the puncher was oblivious to and only gotten into a fight with the person due to a misunderstanding. Like y’all really need to tone yourselves down and stop with your bitching and annoying ass complains. Sick and tired of enjoying a chapter only to come to the comment section full of dislike pulling my mood down.

    1. TWO says:

Oh yeah, and ML doesn’t even know that OG died.

    2. TWO says:

Actually, it’s because of the evil qi that caused OG to face his death, but its also because of ML that injured him to the point that OG wasn’t able to resist it. So yeah, my point still stands, ML is an unintentional accomplice.

    3. sprklngch says:

you finally got fed up with the comment section for this arc JFJDKSKS SAMEEEEEEEEE

fr they be putting all the blame solely on the ML and ignore how he was just part of the work of Fang Xuelin. Yes, he has faults and that’s true and MC is handling it, maybe not in the way these commenter like it. These comments are annoying in every single chapter in this arc. They say “i hate this arc i might skip it >:/” then you see the same person in the next 4 chs ranting djnssksi like just skip and move on then???!?

    4. GoodBox says:

Are y’all being fr? Literally everyone is entitled to criticizing a novel ESPECIALLY when we’re this far in. “Why don’t they skip the arc lolol” is so fucking stupid when you clearly understand that we all are trying to enjoy a novel we’ve read more than 100+ chapters in. That does not even pass over the fact you guys just disregard that the ML literally said, “even 20 canings with a large board would make a martial artist weak yet he came to the police station…” bullshit.

The ML is fully complicit to the fact that the OG died, saying he’s an “unintentional accomplice” is so irresponsible and it shifts the blame of the crime onto something intangible as “ignorance”. Even in todays day and age, unintentional murder is persecuted under manslaughter. That kind of punishment for not even a false/unbelievable accusation of a crime is abhorrent and imagining going to a comment section for “good vibes” is plain stupid when your “good vibes” are just people resonating with your same opinion.

      1. Matchafuu says:

Ikr. Literally the stupidest comment I’ve ever read. Like if you don’t like comments complaining about something (which readers obv have the right), by their logic, just don’t read the comments.

If comments complaining about this arc is annoying, then comments complaining about the complaining are even more annoying.

        1. Dise says:

If you don’t like the novel, arc, or characters, then just stop reading it. If these comments are so annoying the just stop reading them then.

I feel disappointed to MC and master Wen. I mean you know your grandson’s murderer is in your house and you don’t shoo him away. And then there’s MC, i was hoping to make him suffer atleast for the mean time and stick to the og feeling if you were murdered by someone

Then what did u suggest? Kill the ML in this arc? No matter what the storyline is they’re a destined couple that have been through a lot together for million of years so what do u expect?

      1. Utami says:

That’s right, what do you expect from MC and mL? to kill each other? I’m really tired of seeing comments from people who hate MC and ml in this arc, don’t they know that ml doesn’t have any memories and only knows mc’s soul and not og wen xuyao? The plot of that world was set by the old Lord God, and it was MC’s bad luck to possess Og Wen Xuyao’s body. It’s not like they just met and MC can take revenge on ml, they are lovers who have spent hundreds or even thousands of years together.
