So, feeling frustrated, I decided to try out one of the payment methods available to Chinese users after seeing the suggestion from one of the comments. I installed Alipay, linked my card, and made a test payment. To my surprise, it actually worked 😊… and it was so much cheaper too!
So, I’m happy to announce that updates will resume on Monday. No hiatus needed~
And a big thank you to Felinoir for the suggestion. Although I didn’t end up finding someone to help with the top-up, that suggestion was what led me to try Alipay in the first place.
