ICTEUWMN Chapter 99.1

Teacher Fish Soup Noodles' Social Death 1

If possible, Yu Mian wished he could pause time for the entire venue at this moment.

Pause the movie, let him, the author, exit first, and pretend none of this ever happened!

Who could have imagined that movies in the interstellar era would be this wild?

Unfortunately, no matter how much Yu Mian’s scalp tingled, the plot in the movie continued to unfold unstoppably.

When Su Yan drank that glass of red wine disguised as human blood, his eyes gradually grew hazy with intoxication, and the vampires that always loved beauty encircled him with covetous gazes, only for Dreven to appear with a dark expression and take him away…

The already excited and emotionally charged audience erupted in a small frenzy.

It was almost certain now that the scene from the extra side story in Eternal Night Rose hadn’t been cut.

It was unimaginable how exciting it would be to see these two eerily well-cast actors bring Fish Soup Noodles’ lingering, dark romance to life on screen.

This director was simply everyone’s living benefactor!

[“You’ve grown fangs…”]

On the huge screen, the Bart actor portraying Dreven spoke in his natural voice, carrying an inexplicable air of aristocratic indifference.

When his long, pale fingers with distinct joints grazed the corner of Su Yan’s lips as if testing the teeth of a newborn beast, gently stroking the newly emerged fangs of the freshly embraced Bart, the close-up shot made every audience member unconsciously straighten in their seats.

Some fans directly covered their mouths, afraid of making a sound that would disturb the atmosphere in the theater.

Just this one scene alone carried an indescribable sensuality.

Even though Su Yan was already deeply intoxicated, the moment his fangs were stroked, he instinctively felt a craving for his lover’s blood.

However, his newly grown fangs, clumsy like baby tiger teeth, couldn’t even break the skin of Dreven’s fingertip which had been placed against his lips.

In the next moment, Dreven personally sliced open the skin on his own neck, allowing the dazed Su Yan to bury his face against it, nuzzling intimately as he began to suck.

And once lovers of the Bart clan drank each other’s blood, the deep, intoxicating pleasure interwoven with love would sweep away all rationality.

“Oh my god!”

Just as the entire theater could no longer hold back their screams, Yu Mian could barely lift his head anymore…

If there were a hole in the ground, he would have been the first to crawl into it.

Was this retribution for all the times he had recklessly dug pits and left plots stuck on cliffhangers?

If Fish Soup Noodles had committed a crime, then let the law punish him, instead of letting him suffer the torture of this social death that he was experiencing now!

So why did he have to get carried away by that damn interstellar rating system back then, take the plunge and to drive this car…only for it to be so faithfully and vividly adapted into a movie?

At the moment when Yu Mian was burying his head lower and lower, someone suddenly reached out and pressed their hand lightly against his forehead.

Yu Mian: …!

The next second, he looked up and locked eyes with Huo Ting beside him.

And in Huo Ting’s gaze, the amusement was already impossible to conceal.

“Doesn’t your neck feel uncomfortable?”

“…No.”

On screen, the lingering and affectionate sound effects were still playing. No matter how much Yu Mian tried to maintain a facade of calmness and composure, his voice was growing weaker…

Because every time another artistically flawless sound from the actors came through, accompanied by waves of suppressed squeals from the audience, it felt like yet another devastating blow to Fish Soup Noodles.

Yu Mian didn’t even want to turn his head to check how far the scene had progressed in the movie anymore.

Could he still make an excuse?

Like claiming this scene wasn’t actually in the book and that the director had taken creative liberties on his own?

“Your scales are showing up.”

But Huo Ting keenly noticed that beneath Yu Mian’s sleeve, the fine layer of scales was catching the dim theater light, gleaming conspicuously in the reflection of the movie screen.

To avoid disturbing the deeply immersed audience around them, Huo Ting and Yu Mian spoke in hushed whispers.

Hearing the low murmur at his ear, Yu Mian suddenly felt an unbearable itch, as if his ears were tingling. He wanted nothing more than to escape on the spot.

‘Could we just not watch the movie anymore!?’

Sensing that Yu Mian was about to completely explode, Huo Ting finally let go of the little fish whose scales had obviously exploded. He simply held Yu Mian’s restless hand, keeping him from making a run for it, and continued watching the movie with a calm expression.

“…”

The moment Yu Mian realized he was firmly held in place and unable to slip away, he really felt that watching the driving plot he had written while holding hands with someone was the hell-mode of social death.

Was it too late to delete his account?

Urgent. Waiting online!

To the audience, this scene, reaching the peak of both artistry and aesthetics, seemed to flash by in the blink of an eye. It ended so quickly that many were left craving more, unable to fully savor every detail.

But to Yu Mian, every second of this scene felt like an eternity. He was drenched in cold sweat, having never endured anything so excruciating in his entire life.

It wasn’t until the nightingale outside the palace window, startled by the passionate movement within the canopy bed, flapped its wings and flew toward the blood-red crescent moon that the director finally pulled the metaphorical curtain on the scene.

As the theater erupted into deafening cries of regret, Yu Mian finally slumped into his seat in relief.

‘Oh my God, this director still had a shred of sanity left.’

A whole plate of meat had been served in a major blockbuster like this, just how high would the film’s rating have to be? It would directly block countless underage viewers from buying tickets!

In the future, he absolutely needed to suggest that film adaptations be handled with caution.

Even though the most torturous part was finally over, the mere thought of having to face Huo Ting’s reaction after the movie ended left Yu Mian weak and feeling as if he was sitting on pins and needles.

Although the “Eternal Night Rose” movie was undeniably a breathtaking and faithful adaptation, but as the author, he really couldn’t bear to watch it anymore!

Meanwhile, in the VIP lounge behind the premiere venue, the film’s production team and crew waiting for the interactive session was watching real-time reactions from audiences across the entire star system. Their excitement was impossible to conceal.

Seeing how deeply engrossed the audience was, they were all certain that this painstakingly crafted, high-budget production of “Eternal Night Rose” was destined to be a massive hit.

“Once this film is released, you might just become the Federation’s universal heartthrob.”

The producer chuckled and looked toward Wilster Frost, the actor rumored to be a descendant of the ancient Bart royal lineage, and couldn’t help but sigh.

If it weren’t for the fact that Fish Soup Noodles’ reader base happened to include a powerful Bart Clan bigshot, it would have been impossible to find such a perfect actor, one who looked like he had stepped right out of the book.

His temperament in every movement and gesture during filming made it effortless for the young actor playing Su Yan to immerse himself in the role.

In fact, everyone was a little worried that the young actor might actually develop feelings for the role Dreven. After all, Wilster Frost seemed like someone who had simply been curious about acting and decided to give it a try.

However, Wilster only remained silent as he flipped another page of the original book, “Eternal Night Rose”, in his hands.

Bart people had incredibly long lifespans, making it nearly impossible for them to fall in love with humans. So the idea of becoming the Federation’s universal heartthrob didn’t really interest him.

He was simply awakened from his slumber by his old friend, Christina, only to have a script thrust into his hands the very next second.

Before reading “Eternal Night Rose”, Wilster had been certain, on a rational level, that a romance between a human and a Bart Clan was all but impossible.

However, after reading the book, he suddenly found himself emotionally resonating with the idea that this kind of companionship, where you grow old together, did indeed have a certain romantic charm.

If there were no criticism, then praise would be meaningless.

If there were no death, then eternal life would indeed seem unbearably dull and lonely.

“I’m actually quite curious about this author,” Wilster murmured to himself.

‘What kind of person could write a story like this?’

“Huh? That’s strange. Where did Director Guqi go?”

Just as “Eternal Night Rose” was about to end and the production team was preparing to head to the stage for the audience interaction session at the Central Star premiere, they suddenly realized that Director Guqi was missing.

“The audience is already waiting. If we can’t find him, should the producer step in first?”

A crew member couldn’t help but urge them.

With no other choice, the team exchanged glances and went ahead.

Meanwhile, in the largest premiere theater on Central Star, as the movie ended, the theme song of “Eternal Night Rose” began to play. The appearance of Kechard, the recently popular singer, instantly sparked cheers throughout the venue.

The atmosphere was extremely heated. Many audience members unconsciously stood up in excitement, and some couldn’t resist trying to get an autograph.

But Yu Mian, wearing a mask and a hat, clung to Huo Ting, intending to use the chaos to quietly slip away.

Help. This was way too embarrassing.

If time could rewind, Yu Mian wished he could travel back to when he was wildly speeding through the serialization of “Eternal Night Rose”, snatch the light brain away, and delete everything in one go. Then he wouldn’t be suffering like this now.

Finally making it out of the crowd and into the now-empty exit corridor, Yu Mian let out a breath of relief, pulling at the edge of his mask.

His palms, which had been gripping Huo Ting’s hand the whole time, were already covered in a fine layer of sweat.

But then, Yu Mian suddenly realized something: leaving the lively crowd behind meant that now it was just the two of them walking alone in this silent corridor.

And not speaking made it feel really awkward.

“The movie was quite well done,” Huo Ting finally broke the silence after a long pause.

That wasn’t just lip service.

After all, from the movie, it could be seen that the director was really talented.

The film remained extremely faithful to the original novel, yet its adaptations and edits for runtime were handled creatively. Not to mention, the cinematography was visually stunning.

From the gloomy and dark atmosphere of the Blood Moon Era at the beginning to the final scene where a new dawn’s light illuminated the land again, at the moment when Dreven and Su Yan reunited and embraced, even Huo Ting could feel the the emotional weight that broke through time and space in the moved voices of the audience.

And all of this wouldn’t have been possible without the unheard concept of “time travel” in the book.

So, the original book “Eternal Night Rose” was undoubtedly a bold and innovative work.
